You are bidding on a true survivor from the 60's, I purchased this car from the granddaughter of the original purchaser. It is 95% original with the exception of the rear bumper and a water pump I had to put on it. It is a 289 automatic, radio delete, safety driving lite, clock and the XL interior package, this car can be a cruiser just the way it is or restored for a show car, this car is in NO way immaculate it has the normal wear on the paint for something 50 years old, gas gauge doesn't work not sure if it is a sending unit or what car has rock chips and some door dings not bad but there, but all in all this is a very solid car car know rattles or squeaks going down the road very solid when the doors close and everything this car is for sale locally and could end early. My intent was to turn this car into a big block 4 speed car but I just can't destroy this survivor. If you have any questions please ask and I will tell you anything I can. This is a 1964 Galaxie 500 XL Z Code with a 390 ci engine and a rare 4 speed manual transmission. The shifter is a HURST. The original is included in the trunk. The 4 bbl carburetor is a Holley. The original is also included in the trunk. An extra pair of new mufflers are also included in the trunk. However, the existing ones do not require replacement. This car is an original, unmolested, 1964 Galaxie in its original Guardsman Blue metallic paint. The car presents itself extremely well. It is numbers and data plate matching. Believed to be less than <68,000 miles. All stainless/chrome trim are in near perfect condition. The car is completely solid with zero rust. The undercarriage and interior are also entirely original and exhibit only minimum wear and tear. The 390 CI, 4 barrel Holley carburetor starts easily with no smoke or unusual sounds and it quickly settles into a smooth idle. It accelerates aggressively and the 4 speed manual console Hurst shifter moves smoothly through the gears. All doors, trunk and hood close extremely easily. An Appraisers’ evaluation is available on request. The car has five, limited use, Bedford bias belted tires. The original shifter, carburetor, and an extra pair of mufflers (should they ever be needed) are included. The car is a pleasure to drive.
