65 Ford Galaxie 2dr Hardtop About the Car. I bought this car as an average runner/driver for around 3500 dollars. I have done a lot of work to the car and spent an enormous amount of time and money. It has been a complete frame off restoration. As you can see from the pictures it has not been completed. It needs paint and reassembly. I have all the parts and pieces to finish the restoration and they go with the car if it sells. So if you are looking at the pics and thinking it is a hunk of junk, it is not true. Almost all of the time consuming and expensive parts of the full restoration have been completed. The metal work and body work have been completed, it basically needs some sanding and paint. The interior is complete it does still need to be installed. I have a lot in this build and probably can't list everything but here are some details. 390 cid V8 rebuilt engine with no miles on the rebuild, has an upgraded cam, 4 barrel carb w/aluminum intake, 4 speed transmission, posi rear end w 370 gears, front suspension has been rebuilt, undercarriage has been redone, front has disc brakes and rear is drum brakes, has new 17" tires and wheels, has the factory ac that works, upholstery is new, carpet new, dash pad new, headliner new, has two hoods that go with it a thunderbolt style hood, and a Torino style hood. I put 10,000.00 on the price, this is negotiable. I realize I'm not going to get back what I've put into it and I realize 10k is a higher starting price. I am willing to negotiate but the car isn't going for what you would pay for it if all this hadn't already been done to it. Please call if you are interested (817) 269-6071. The interior for this project is not complete, I have the interior parts that came with the car when I bought it but I have not had them re-upholstered. That being said, I have a lot in this build and probably can't list everything but here are some details. The frame has been painted and undercarriage complete, whole car has been sand blasted, body work done and is in an epoxy primer. It has a completely rebuilt 406 cid V8 engine with no miles on the rebuild (it is still on the engine stand), Tri power 4 speed car. It has the factory cast iron headers, solid lifter engine, fast back body style looks marvelous (great car for a ford/nascar enthusiast). Has 17" wheels and tires that are seen in the pictures. Have all glass as well. Have everything to finish the car for a hobbyist who would like to engage in this project. The interior needs to be done and as I've stated all the original pieces I have but haven't re-upholstered them. Car needs sanding and painting, and complete reassembling. I put 12,000.00 on the price, this is negotiable. So don't email me with nasty comments. I realize I'm not going to get back what I've put into it and I realize 12k is a higher starting price. New interior black/white pattern (like original pattern) also re-wrapped dash board, new carpet, door panels, and truck w/boxed sides. New dual flow-master 40 series exhaust, Rebuilt 390 V-8 300HP Z-code only 3,500 miles on since rebuild. Comes with all trim (currently not on car), Front window is original an has a crack running down on drivers side. Top is 7 years old w/plastic window (would need new), motor for top is currently out, Manual close for top. Look at pics close to see what you getComes with clean clear title!! deals don't come along like this everyday. You could part it for more .First let me say ask all questions before put your offer in or buy because once you buy it you own it :)My friend decided he just will never get to this project, One reason is hes a one man body shop now servicing big dealerships and ins claims off the street, and just cant keep up since his 2 boys have grown and moved on. They were his main workers . he now works 16 hours a day trying to keep up as its so hard to find decent workers.Ok back to car you wont find one like this that does NOT need floors or trunk often! they are rock solid... frame has a few weak spots easy to fix with flat stock or frame sections that will come with car.. (anyone ever dealt with galaxies knows exactly what im talking about and its no big deal ) me id run her as it is after i welded i few flat stock pieces on her then id blast frame and undercoated it. .(but remember it comes with like new frame sections that you need ) its not real serious. ive seen way worse on the road yet!car has a good 289 4 barrel engine in it missing a few things like carb and pump also missing radiator .comes with good trans ,pictured no drive shaft easy to get thou.brand new rear window glass . also has nice top boot, you will have a lot of doubles of things like trim, lights , mirrors,ect . Interior is in sweet shape a good cleaning of seats should bring them back to like new condition ! wont take much to make this a 30 k show car to the right person or persons..I would buy myself but i already have my 59 ford and He already has a 68 cobra jet torino and a 72 couger and a early 70's comet gt 302 3 spd on floor none of those for sale. and with all customer cars he has no room for the galaxie its under cover in nice shed for now.
