For sale is a 2005 Ford Freestar minivan with a VMI wheelchair accessible conversion. Van is an SEL trim line with 4.2L engine, cloth seats, tan interior. VMI conversion is for manual or power wheelchairs. Power ramp folds out from right side power sliding door. Floor is lowered from the firewall back to the third row of seats. Right rear suspension lowers hydraulically when ramp is put out. Hydraulics can be turned off with switch on center console. Wheelchair tie-downs included. Second row of seats are not included (this is where the wheelchair passenger rides). Front seats (mounted on pedestals) are removable if wheelchair user wishes to drive or ride as front passenger. Note that van is equipped with normal driver controls. We are second owner and purchased used from Village Ford in Dearborn, MI in 2006. We used this van to transport our daughter (currently 10 years old) who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy Muscular Dystrophy. Van has always been garaged and never smoked in. We are a non-smoking, no pet family.
