You are not seeing things…. This is an Australian Ford Falcon. It is right hand drive. It is like the one you see in the Mad Max movies, in fact this is the one Max wished he had! We are proud to offer this extremely rare, right hand drive, Australian Ford Falcon, that has been built to top pro-touring standards and is ready to head to any and all competitions or shows. Since its build it has been kept to minimal outings and minimal exposure and was featured in Popular Hot Rodding in 2014 and was on display (sporting a set of new Forgeline VX3C Wheels) at SEMA 2016 in the Shell Pioneering Performance Booth. She is ready for a 2017 campaign. This is a unicorn in the collector car world and one that shouldn't be passed up if you are looking to stop traffic. Not just pretty to look at, this Australian Ford Falcon is built to top standards under the hood and underneath the entire car. If you loved Eric Bana’s sick ride in the movie “Love the Beast” you will immediately appreciate the caliber of build that this car is. Once behind the wheel you will enjoy the muscle car power and pro-touring ride, not to mention all the attention. Here's a secret: Mustangs are really Falcons underneath. Yes, that's right, this cool 1964 Ford Falcon Futura hardtop runs and drives just like its more popular brother for a fraction of the cost. Complete with a strong-running 302 and a great paint job, it's also somewhat rare in its own right. Restored several years ago, they decided to keep the bright, vivid code F Guardsman Blue; why change a good thing? Thanks to excellent care and maintenance, the finish remains shiny with only a few minor blems from being driven and enjoyed, and you certainly can't blame them for that. There's a bit of metallic in the paint, too, so the compact Falcon seems to take on the look of a bigger, more substantial car and the light plays over the detailing that's often lost on solid colors. For instance, dig the vestigial tail fins, the dual reliefs running down the center of the hood like racing stripes, and the cool way the sheetmetal follows the contours of the side trim. Never noticed that stuff on a Falcon before, did you? The car looks great in person, and you'll be proud to roll up to the next cruise night behind the wheel, and you'll undoubtedly get extra appreciation for daring to be a little different. Matching blue buckets give the interior a sporty demeanor, and there's plenty of space for four in this cool ragtop. Since blue is the car's original interior color, it has a very uniform look thanks to a lot of new parts, including carpets with the correct weave along with fresh door panels, a new dash pad, and even proper blue sun visors. The Falcon didn't necessarily include a center console, and many prefer the purposeful look of this car, which uses a column shifter for the C4 3-speed automatic transmission. The gauges are basic, but they all work, and the original AM radio remains in place. It's extremely clean and the lack of modifications suggests that someone cared about making this one right rather than customizing it to their tastes. We always appreciate that. The steering wheel is particularly nice, with a bright chrome horn ring and button that add a little flash to the utilitarian passenger compartment. There's also a new mat and spare tire cover, which give the trunk a factory-correct look. The 302 cubic inch V8 nestled between the shock towers looks awfully familiar, doesn't it? It does a great impersonation of the original 260 and brings a few extra horsepower. It's not over-dressed, but with a chrome air cleaner and Ford Blue valve covers, it looks nice enough that you can tell it's been loved. Thanks to a 4-barrel carburetor, it makes great power and a wonderful V8 soundtrack, moving the lightweight Falcon easily. A Ford C4 3-speed automatic transmission can take the abuse and delivers better entertainment than you'd expect: just stomp and steer and this little car rears up and goes! Out back, there's a street-friendly 8-inch rear end, plus a lot of new suspension components, including the entire front end. One glance underneath will convince you that this Falcon has nothing to hide. It's highly original, very solid, and there's no thick coating of rustproofing goop designed to hide shoddy workmanship. The exhaust sounds muscular without being obnoxious, making this Falcon more of a sleeper than any Mustang could ever muster, and those handsome 15-inch Torque Thrust wheels and 215/65/15 General tires fit perfectly and look right. For all the thrills of a Mustang in a more unusual and stealthy package, this Falcon deserves a look. This one packs a rumbling 347 cubic inch stroker motor, a 4-speed, and a restoration that you couldn't even get close to duplicating for the asking price. Never mind that it runs like an early Mustang and looks cool, this is a ton of car for the money. This bright red hardtop is one nice little sleeper. The Falcon was conservative, yes, but it was also rugged, reliable, and had great familial DNA that made it look like a scale Fairlane. The Rangoon Red paint makes it a flashy machine that gets a lot of attention out on the road, and the quality of the work belies the price tag because it looks pretty darned good. It's not perfect, of course, but the shine is far better than 1960s paint tech would deliver, and the car was put together the way the factory would have done it, so it feels solid going down the road. Lots of bright trim ties in with the other Ford products of the era, including the sweeping side trim with a contrasting black insert and "Sprint" script on the front fenders. Round taillights continue Ford's fascination with "jet age" styling, and nothing but the relatively fat rear tires give away this little Falcon's secret. From behind the wheel, it's easy to see where the Mustang gets its handsome good looks, as the Falcon includes a handsome and unique gray and red interior. Looking far more upscale than you'd expect, the seats wear fresh covers front and rear and the doors have been upholstered to match, so it all looks very period-correct. The dash should look familiar to anyone who's driven a Ford of this vintage, with a wide speedometer flanked by round pods with auxiliary gauges inside. This one also sports a cool Stewart-Warner tach on the steering column and a set of modern auxiliary gauges underneath the dash, along with a handsome color-matched steering wheel and a Hurst cue ball shifter for the 4-speed gearbox. The factory AM radio remains in the dash, and it's kind of nice to see it there instead of the ubiquitous modern head unit. In back, there's a trunk that's more spacious than you'd expect, and it has been fully carpeted just like the interior. The door tag says this one originally came with an F-code 260, so it's a real V8 car, but this one is packing nearly 100 extra cubes in the form of a stroked 302 punched out to 347 cubic inches. It's a very strong runner thanks to a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and an MSD ignition system. Other details include the Falcon-logo finned valve covers with matching air cleaner. Long-tube headers dump into a fresh dual exhaust system that sounds spectacular. The rest of the chassis is in good order with tubular front A-arms and rack-and-pinion steering, subframe connectors to reinforce the tub, and heavy-duty Caltrac traction bars out back. Out back, it carries 3.80 gears with a limited slip inside a 9-inch housing and there's a disc brake at all four corners. Vintage-looking Torque Thrust wheels are exactly the right choice and wear staggered 165/80/15 front and 235/55/16 rear performance radials. A lot of V8 performance in a great-looking package, this Falcon clearly cost more than the asking price to build. A bargain back then and an even bigger one today. That's what makes it perfect for cruising more than any other car with a fixed roof, but every Falcon also carries a touch of understated class. Those squared shoulders are all business: a neatly pressed style that never goes out of fashion. It's clean and conservative, with flair in just the right places. You can't go wrong with an all-black paint scheme: It helps the car's chrome accents stand out. The paint on this particular Falcon is a few years old so it's not perfect but it will certainly gain plenty of attention at the local car show or filling up at the pump. The chrome and other trim pieces have all been cared for very well. There's just enough flash on this well-equipped Falcon Futura to give flair without being too brash. Another bright spot is actually four spots: the car's custom Roadmaster wheels. They feature a three-blade retainer that spins on, to hold the center cap in place. The clean, polished alloy rims are fitted with grippy Falken tires in a staggered setup: 195/60R15 up front, 215/60R15 on the drive wheels. Opening the door is like unbuttoning and pulling open the lapel of your suit to reveal a sharp, colorful lining: The code 37 turquoise interior is calm and beautiful, a perfect reminder of the 1960s you may have forgotten. The door panels, carpeting and vinyl upholstery match the dashboard, a piece that's a shining testament to '60s style all the way across. The fuel and temperature gauges on either side of the horizontal speedometer recall the car's rocket-style taillights. An AM radio is nestled right in the middle of that dash, and a subtle aftermarket tachometer hangs below. There's no shifter interfering with your sliding your partner closer to you across those bench seats, but that doesn't mean you have to give up the three-pedal fun. This Falcon shifts through a three-on-the-tree manual transmission. Speaking of which, let's pop the hood. In the engine bay you'll see the same bright chrome and black theme as the exterior. Ford's venerable 289 V8 is neatly topped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, as well as a chrome air filter. Stock exhaust manifolds lead out to twin chrome exhaust tips in back. Hop back inside, put your elbow out the window cruise the highway miles with the wind in your hair on your way to the next car show or weekend retreat. There's plenty of room for your sweetheart, family, or grandkids. You may also have not seen one this well-preserved recently, and for a car that had modest aspirations, it sure gets a lot of attention out on the street. It's bright Rangoon Red, the classic Ford color that looks great on any mid-60s Ford product, particularly the Falcon and its cousin the Mustang. The preservation is pretty impressive, although we're guessing it's been repainted once in the past 50 years. However, it offers nice sheetmetal that shows well; just look at how sharp the character lines are, particularly around the rear quarters. Historians will recall that the Falcon is a unit-body, but the doors fit well and don't sag, and the gaps are even all around. With the round taillights and long stainless side trim, it almost looks like a miniature Galaxie, which was the top-of-the-line Futura's mission. The paint has a great shine that isn't too hard for a 50-year-old convertible, making this a car that will be welcome just about anywhere it goes. The chrome is in good shape for its age, all the stainless shines up nicely, and the emblems look crisply rendered against the red paint. This car looks a lot more expensive than it is, but don't worry, we won't tell! The Futura's interior was built for comfort and practicality, with wide bench seats that'll carry four in style and six in a pinch. We're guessing that the upholstery has been replaced at some point, simply because the seats are just too nice to be original, and they're matched by a pair of gorgeous door panels with bright metal inserts that look expensive. The dash hasn't been baked by the sun, and the carpets show minimal fading, which is important in a convertible. The instruments are original and might be showing their age a bit, but they work correctly and the lettering is bright and crisp. There's a factory AM radio in the dash, which still works and appears to be one of the few options this car carries. This modest Falcon also carries a nice-fitting white power convertible top and a correct red boot to give it a finished look. The trunk is also correct, with a plaid mat and full-sized spare with matching hubcap. The lightweight Falcon carried a 170 cubic inch inline six that was all about fuel economy. However, it scoots around town and feels lively from behind the wheel and has a great six-cylinder burble from the single tailpipe out back. The block wears black paint and the bright orange valve cover makes it look sporty, and with a few factory-style details like the decal on the air cleaner, it looks fairly correct. The rest of the powertrain is made up of a 3-speed manual transmission that's fun to row through the gears and a 3.50 gearset out back, so the Falcon cruises on the highway without working hard. The floors are shockingly clean, suggesting that this car has lived a long, healthy life someplace warm and you'll have no worries about this unit-body ragtop getting weak in the middle. It also wears 185/70/13 blackwall radials on a set of wire wheelcovers that were part of the Sprint package, so it has the right look. With bulletproof mechanicals and an honest look, you can buy this Falcon with confidence without spending too much. Drop-top Ford fun at a bargain price. This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura 4-door sedan offers V8 power, a great, early-60s look and fuel economy that's still in style almost 50 years later. For this price, it's really hard to go wrong with this Falcon. Anywhere you go, you're guaranteed to cause a stir, and imagine making this your daily driver for the warm weather months each year? You'd start to look forward to your commute, you'd instantly be recognized everywhere you go, all for a price that's half that of so-called "economy" cars sold in the new car showrooms. The paint and bodywork are quite good, so there's no need to pick up a worn-out beater to enjoy the style and substance of the '60s. In fact, it was treated to a professional paint job a few years ago in a hue that's pretty close to the original Peacock Blue, which was on the Ford palette in 1963. Chrome and trim were still all the rage in the early '60s, and even the affordable Falcon Futura got a good dose, from the simple grille to the trim rings around the jet-exhaust-inspired taillights. Most of the interior is new in this Falcon, but the seat covers are original, which should give you a good indication of how neatly preserved this southern car really is. The comfortable two-tone seats give it an upscale look and the durable material seems to repel dirt, because it looks awfully good for 50 years of use; in fact, the back seat looks virtually unused. The floating instrument panel hails from an era when designers were free to follow their imaginations, and offers a neat row of knobs underneath for the secondary controls. This was a pretty basic Falcon, so there's an AM radio, and a heater and defroster were standard equipment by 1963. And, of course, there is that 2-speed automatic transmission which makes it easy to drive in traffic; again, this makes for a compelling argument for daily driver status. There's also a big trunk that's neatly finished with a correct mat and a matching cover for the spare tire. The F-code engine is a 260 cubic inch V8, which is also the source of its economy. Smooth and reliable, it's going to get you wherever you need to go and sips gas while it's doing it thanks to a 2-barrel carburetor. No, it's not a tire-shredding muscle car, but this is about affordable, economical, and highly stylish transportation, right? It was recently rebuilt with a fresh carburetor, so it starts easily and runs very well. The bright Ford Blue engine is tidy and clean, showing no evidence of leaks or damage, and a few chrome dress-up items illustrate its relationship to the Mustang a few years later. Parts are still readily available at your local parts store, and it takes little more than a crescent wrench and screwdriver to keep it in top form. Lots of new gear, including a rebuilt suspension, new brakes, fresh springs, and an alignment practically eliminate up-front costs, so all you need to do is start enjoying the ride. Recent General blackwall radials fitted to vintage Torque Thrust style wheels give it a more sporting look and ride great. Think about it: a cool '60s cruiser that can still double as economical daily transportation. Why not? It's got a thrifty six-cylinder engine, a clean, nice paint job, and a very clean original interior, all of which add up to a fun car that doesn't cost much at all. Someone spent money all out of proportion to the car's sticker price on the paint job, because it's simply gorgeous. The clean Falcon sheetmetal has a conservative look and the icy blue paint looks very appropriate on the '60s bodywork. And with all the Mustangs running around, it's refreshing to see a Falcon of this vintage; honestly, when was the last time you saw one? The two-stage urethane shines up brilliantly, the panel gaps are shockingly good, and the ducktail spoiler out back gives it a sporty "Mad Max" look that works very well. Thanks to living all its life in Texas the sheetmetal is exceptionally clean and it doesn't look to have ever been in an accident. A contrasting stripe runs along the flanks highlights the interesting fender "vents" and the traditional Ford taillights give it an instantly-identifiable look. Nice chrome bumpers are neatly integrated into the design and the grill is in great shape. As far as we can tell, the interior is completely original, and with that in mind it's in awesome condition. Sure, there are a few signs of age but thanks to living under clear vinyl seat covers for almost the entirety of their lives, the seats are in great shape. The door panels are very good and the carpets are brand new, since the car originally came with rubber mats. Factory gauges show clean markings and bright needles and the factory radio has been replaced by an AM/FM/cassette head unit that sounds decent even today. And yes, that dealer-installed under-dash A/C unit is still fully functional and still uses good old R12 refrigerant inside. The trunk is also quite original and uses a proper plaid mat and an original-style spare tire and jack assembly. With just over 68,000 original miles, the 170 cubic inch inline-six has never been opened and still runs superbly. It's pretty original under the hood, but it's clean and shows plenty of signs of proper maintenance over the years. That's factory-applied Ford Blue paint still clinging to the block and air cleaner, and the sturdy little six runs silky smooth thanks to seven main bearings. The A/C compressor dominates the engine bay but service access is great and thanks to a flyweight cub weight, things like power steering and power brakes aren't really needed here. The C4 3-speed automatic transmission clicks through the gears easily and the single exhaust has a nice 6-cylinder bark. You can see plenty of evidence of how clean this car really is underneath, where the floors are in amazing condition and the low mileage means that the suspension feels tight and buttoned-down, not loose and flabby. New aluminum wheels add a period performance look and carry fat 225/60/15 performance radials that have about 1500 miles on them. Overlooked and under-appreciated, this Falcon is a fun, unusual choice that makes a lot of sense as an entry-level collector car. This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible Classic is in good condition & ready to go out cruising. The top, lights, horn, wipers, Ford radio, etc.are all fully functional. The Falcon receives many compliments & is definitely not for those that don't like attention! She was originally Corinthian White but painted Blue by a previous owner. Looks Great in the sunlight & is the only time she is driven. She fires right up & drives smooth. Areas that may need replacing or attention are the shocks, manifold seal & has typical rust areas which will be seen in the pics. Thank-you for looking & feel free to send your questions.
