1966 Ford Fairlane GT 390 One owner car - 62,596 miles True survivor car - absolutely gorgeous Nightmist blue exterior - blue interior Original window sticker Original bill of sale This 390 GT runs absolutely perfect, fires right up, drives great, transmission is perfect. This Fairlane GT is the real deal. I have the signed title from the original owner in hand along with the original window sticker, bill of sale, and title. He replaced the exhaust in 1995 for which there is a receipt, put brakes on it and replaced the water pump. That is all that has been done to the car since the day he drove it home. Check out the window sticker and bill of sale. Car came with an AM radio option, two speed wipers, power steering, and a deluxe steering wheel from the factory. There is one rip in the passenger front seat vinyl with no damage to the seat foam. There is one minor rust spot behind the passenger rear wheel well which is only about the size of a quarter and is on the outer sheet metal only, not through the inner wall at all. There is some minor rust under the driver sider rear wheel well area, not bad and not into the wheel well at all. There are a few paint chips on the hood and driver's door, certainly not bad for a 48 year old paint job for sure. There are two small indentations on the roof, not bad but I want to describe the car as accurately as possible. This 390 GT was garage kept its entire. It has a beautiful patina, like I said above there are some small scuffs and so forth , actually very befitting such an awesome survivor car. The owner ordered the car with the XL chrome package which was installed by the dealer as shown on the bill of sale. It has factory chrome valve covers. It is a stunning example of a true survivor. I personally wouldn't do a thing to it, it is beautiful as it is and all original, but if someone wanted to bring it to concourse level it would be a perfect car to have as this Fairlane GT is certainly one of the finest survivor cars of its kind in the country. I encourage you to come by and take a look at it. Last month a member of the Fairlane Club of America came by and took some photos and thoroughly checked out the car. To use some of his quotes "This car is so original it's scary", and "I just can't get over this car", and "This is a holy grail type thing". He said one of the members who knows a lot more than him said he's only seen one other GT car with XL trim and that was a factory mistake. As you can see, this car was ordered from the dealer with the XL trim package. The car was ordered by the customer in March as the Bill of Sale shows and in fact has a March build date. There are very few GT 3 speed cars that I'm aware of, power steering is also rare on the GTs. I believe with the 390 GT 3 speed, power steering, XL chrome trim package, and deluxe steering wheel, this may very well be a one of one car. I have quite a few toys including a Z06 Corvette and Piper Cherokee Six airplane, so I've decide to let this car go to the right buyer. It is a beautiful original GT that deserves the right home. Feel free to ask me any questions and come by and check it out. I won't give it away but do want to find it a great home so make a reasonable offer and we will talk.
