Hate to do this, but I have to sell my 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop. This is definitely a project car, but a solid foundation to build a rare classic muscle car. Car has a 289 V8 that runs (needs to be tuned) and floor shift C4 transmission. Manual brakes, manual steering, load leveling rear shocks, only thing keeping it from driving is fixing a severed brake line. Car has new rear quarters panels, new floor pan, and lower patches on the front driver fender. The car does have a few rust spots - rear window corners, trunk floor, trunk drip rail, cowl - nothing that cannot be repaired. If you are a welder or know one, this is a great opportunity to pick up a hard to find car for short money. I have many extra parts including headers, grilles, door, driver glass, instrument clusters, taillight, interior trim etc. Other parts can be negotiated as part of the sale. Note car will not be sold with wheels/tires that are shown in pictures. Tires/wheels that go with car are shown in the picture with the red fender. I have the title and a full Marti Report Buyer responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. Trailer required, will not drive (no brakes). $500 Paypal required with 48 hours of successful bid.

Have you looked at Mustangs, and realize the Kids won't fit? Now you can appease the Wife, and still have a Ride that'll knock your socks off! This car has been designed as a "Gentleman's Custom". Massachusetts State Safety Inspected, this car will cruise very civilized without a squeak or rattle. However, put your foot into it and the "Torque Monster" 289 will propel you to break-neck speed before you know it!- Before there was the Mustang, Ford introduced the 1962 Fairlane. Bigger than the Falcon, yet smaller than the Galaxie, the "all-new for '62" Fairlane was the Sporty Choice!- This 80k mile Rot-Free Classic has undergone a complete "Mild-Custom" Restoration, in a style that is reminiscent of a car done in the Sixties.- This rare find has been completely gone-through and needs nothing.Outside - The Raven Black exterior has been reshot in Hot Rod Flatz Black, with high-gloss black "ghost" pinstriping. (Not primer. The Hot Rod Flatz is a pre-flattened, low-gloss color, with 30-degree satin primer appearance). - All the brightwork has been polished, and the aluminum side inserts have been refinished in gold paint. - The bumpers have been color-matched to the 15" Ridler 675 wheels, mounted to Gremax whitewall radials.Inside- Preserved underneath, the original interior is in perfect condition, having been upholstered-over when new. - The bucket seat foam has been replaced.- The door panels and package tray have been redone in plaid.- New carpet and seat belts have been installed.- Everything works, including all dash board lights.Underneath- The front suspension, brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, and power steering have all been rebuilt or replaced. - A new custom true-dual exhaust has been installed. - Be sure to watch the "Rot-Free" Walk-around video on my website. http://www.frankenrodz.com/diablito.htmlUnder the Hood- The original V8 was replaced with a professionally-built 1963 5-bolt 289, producing 245 hp and a whopping 294 lb/ft torque! (Approximately 1,000 miles on the car since completed this past Spring).- The automatic transmission was professionally rebuilt at 76,000 miles.- The radiator has been replaced with a 3-core.- The master cylinder has been upgraded to a dual-bowl.- Be sure to watch the "Dyno" video on my website. http://www.frankenrodz.com/diablito.htmlIn Summary- I build a Custom Hot Rod every 2-years, and now it's time to start another one. Partial Trades will be considered.- This is the last time this car will be offered For Sale, before heading to auction this Winter.- As with all my other Builds; FrankenRod - Big Kahuna - Hemirod - AstroSurf, this Fairlane comes with a binder of all receipts in chronological order, (In this case, $35,000.00 in receipts!), and a full color hard cover coffee-table build book.- Currently insured for a guaranteed replacement value of $30,000.00- Because I do this on a regular basis, and most people don't have the resources, this sale price includes:*FREE ENCLOSED SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES!- Nothing to hide here! Check out all the photos, showing the straight sheet metal, and detailed craftsmanship. - Feel free to call me with any questions at three three nine, two two two, one five seven eight.- Vehicle inspection is welcomed. Thanks for Looking!
