It was saved from the crusher in 1994 and frame up restored over an 18 month period. It still looks very good and drives terrific. The radial tires mounted on the Kelsey Hays wire wheels, front & rear sway bars, power steering, and power front disc brakes see to that. Power comes from a 352 CI Thunderbird Special V-8 and a Fordomatic transmission. It runs very well and the transmission shifts smoothly. The smooth body has nice two tone paint and good chrome. The extensive trim is all there and other than a few minor flaws is very nice. The interior was kept original and still shows very well. It features 3 tone fabrics, an uncut dash, seat belts, molded door panels, arm rest console with drink holders, and a hidden Pioneer sound system. The controller is mounted in the glove box opening with the head unit and multidisc pack mounted in the trunk. It was covered with matching trunk mat material. Very cool. If it is too hot to cruise with the top down you can use the power button and raise it up and make use of the cold blowing air conditioning from the Vintage AC system. The motor and trunk compartments are show worth. The chassis still show well too with dual aluminum exhaust, clean hardware, and the replaced gas tank. This is a very nice car overall and makes for a sleek cruiser. It was saved from the crusher in 1994 and frame up restored over an 18 month period. It still looks very good and drives terrific. The radial tires mounted on the Kelsey Hays wire wheels, front & rear sway bars, power steering, and power front disc brakes see to that. Power comes from a 352 CI Thunderbird Special V-8 and a Fordomatic transmission. It runs very well and the transmission shifts smoothly. The smooth body has nice two tone paint and good chrome. The extensive trim is all there and other than a few minor flaws is very nice. The interior was kept original and still shows very well. It features 3 tone fabrics, an uncut dash, seat belts, molded door panels, arm rest console with drink holders, and a hidden Pioneer sound system. The controller is mounted in the glove box opening with the head unit and multidisc pack mounted in the trunk. It was covered with matching trunk mat material. Very cool. If it is too hot to cruise with the top down you can use the power button and raise it up and make use of the cold blowing air conditioning from the Vintage AC system. The motor and trunk compartments are show worth. The chassis still show well too with dual aluminum exhaust, clean hardware, and the replaced gas tank. Lots of trim, chrome, two tone exterior, and interior treatment screams fifties. These Fords are know for being solid, good driving cars and this one is no exception. It is powered by the standard 272 V-8 with oil bath air cleaner and dual exhaust. It has manual brakes, steering, and 3-speed overdrive transmission. The body has good fit up and the paint is very nice. It is accented with loads of chrome, wide white radial tires, wire wheel disc, dual rear mounted antennas, and fender skirts. The immaculate interior carries the two tone trim as mentioned but also is outlined with red piping. Very nice. The seat covers, door panels, dash, and carpet are in outstanding condition. It also has deluxe pedals and stalk mounted, three on the tree shifter. A smooth operating power top is covered in Hartz cloth. It features a clear back light, chrome header, and matching easy snap on boot. The trunk is fully carpeted and houses a sub woofer to enhance the updated stereo system. Though not show quality, the chassis is clean and shows well. This car rides and drives terrific and is very easy on the eyes.
