6 brand new tires, new batteries, gooseneck, leather lariat, ARP head studs, EGR delete. Very nice truck. I bought this truck from Florida so it's nearly rust free. The only rust is on top of the cab - the clear coat came off and somehow it started lightly rusting up there. When I bought the truck, I was driving it back and the head gasket went out on me in Virginia. I had to get it towed home. I pulled the heads and it sat for a couple weeks and the top of the cylinders started rusting, so I decided to just do it right and pull the whole engine out. I took it to a machine shop and the engine was bored out - I believe .020 oversize. The decks of the block were resurfaced, the cylinder heads resurfaced with a valve job, crank polished, cam polished with new roller lifters, of course all new gaskets, the turbo pulled apart and cleaned, all 8 injectors were replaced with new from injectors direct (they rebuild them for motorcraft with new spools). Of course I used the motorcraft head gaskets with ARP studs and upgraded the STC fitting. I put a remote coolant filter on it, new thermostat and I also had the radiator and Intercooler taken to a radiator repair shop and gone over - pressure tested and cleaned. I changed the trans filters and fluid. I lost count of how much money I have in this thing, and i'm sure there's a few more things that I did to the engine that I'm forgetting. I know I have well over $22K into this truck after paying $15 for the truck I also put an EGR delete on it, so it might not pass your states emission testing. In Ohio, you can just pay a little more for commercial plates and don't have to deal with emissions. So, why am I selling? Read the whole thing because I honestly don't think there's a problem, but I want do disclose everything. I do a lot of cross country trips pulling a trailer and while I was on a trip, coming back from New York & going through the mountains in Pennsylvania. I was pulling my equipment trailer (weighs 4,000 pounds empty) and had an F350 dually cab & chassis on the trailer - pulling every bit of 9,000 pounds total. While going up a long grade, the check coolant temperature light came on. I pulled over, let it cool down and started going again. Once i started up a long grade - same thing - check coolant temperature and the guage spiked. I lpulled off the road a 3rd time, but this time was different because as soon as I pulled off the road and shut it off, I immediately turned the ignition back on to listen to the radio and the light went out and the temperature guage went from being hot to back in the normal range. This happened just by turning it off and back on again. So I figured I would start going again and see what happpened and it was fine. To play it safe, I pulled into a NAPA in Pennsylvania and bought a new fan clutch and another new thermostat and anti freeze. I installed the parts in the parking lot, got on the road, but it continued happening, but when it would do it - I would keep driving and just watch the needle to see if it would go past the hot side and it never did and I made it all the way home. I had another trip planned and had to go to California and pull a trailer home. I just could NOT trust taking this truck, going through the Rocky mountains pulling a trailer with 2 cars on it. I ended up buying an older f350 with a 7.3. It doesn't have the same power, but I trust it. Anyway, I am just going to cut my losses and let this go. I have been told that the temperature guage is more of an idiot light than an accurate guage and was told to put a real guage in it. I'm not putting another dime into this truck since I now have another. Come look at it and drive it. I would trust it driving anywhere empty, but I don't trust it pulling a heavy trailer up a long grade. On the plus side, it's a lariat, a gooseneck hitch, no rust underneath, 6 new tires, 2 new napa batteries, and an SCT tuner - I have NOT installed any tunes - i only bought it so that i could read codes.
