He let me in the garage when I got to high school and did engine work, brakes, welding and just about everything else but where I really excelled is when he started selling cars, I enjoyed helping customers find the car or truck or there dreams. I started my own lot in 1979 and built it up to the size of any new car dealership with 50 employees, 12 shop bays and well over 100 trucks on the lot, we sold that property and dealership back in 2006 and today nearing 60 years old I am semi retired and opened a small hobby lot located in Carlisle PA. I still have the passion for diesel trucks in which I'm an expert (by the way anyone who does anything successful for 35 years is an expert in my opinion), and I also have the passion just as I did at 18 to help people find the truck of there dreams. If you give me the opportunity I promise I will do everything in my power not to let you down... I know these old cummins diesel/and 7.3's trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California,Texas, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast. This is a 2006 Ford F250 Pickup. I am the original owner. It was bought new by me in December of 2005. It was originally used as a work truck for 3 years until construction died. In that 3 years the truck got about 35,000 miles. The rest were put on gradually until now. Mostly the truck gets used to pull a trailer occasionally, short trips to lowes, and to drive to work when it snows. The only reason I am selling is because the wife says she wants a 4 door because anytime I take the truck, I "go on an adventure" and she and the kids cannot tag along. In June of this year, I had new brakes, calipers, and brake lines put on the truck. I also had them do a MD Inspection to see what else was wrong. The only bad thing they found was that one of the front universals was out. That being said, the truck has had a 4" MBRP Turbo back straight pipe exhaust on it for about 3 years. That will need to be replaced to pass inspection. Not sure if that is every state, but definitely in MD. I have never had any problems with the truck. The motor runs fine, it starts well, it flies down the road, pulls good, etc. The only thing I have noticed recently is that the exhaust has a little smell to it, like there is too much fuel being sent to the motor, and not all of it is being burnt. I have been told that once the cat is back on the truck, it wont be noticeable. Not a big issue, but worth mentioning. The tires were replaced in 2013 and have about 6,000 miles on them. The A/C still works well and blows cold. The truck has about 51,000 miles on it now. It has never been used to plow snow. This 1977 Ford F250 came from Illinois 3 years ago. This is a true survivor. It is a rust free truck and there are a few chips in the paint and maybe 3 or 4 very small golf ball size dents. It has the tool box on the side of the bed, and I have the door off which is in primer. This truck is 4 wheel drive and has a, factory solid front axel so you don't need to get out to lock the hubs. It is a camper special with a 460 that has a 4 barrel Edelbrock carb that runs amazing. It also has a good c6 transmission that shifts great. Has good glass all the way around. It has factory trailer brakes, the driver seat is ripped, the radio works well, so does the e-break. It has duel tanks, I've only used the front tank. All the gauges work. This truck has 48k original miles and brand new Firestone tires. It is located in Massachusetts and I do have a clean Massachusetts title.
