2005 F-250 Cummins Swap. I swapped in a 12 valve Cummins into the F250 after the stock 6.0 blew the headgaskets. All of the gauges work and there are no check engine lights. AC works well, blows nice and cold just like stock. The truck is a loaded king ranch, 4x4, sunroof, navigation, sunroof, rear king ranch bench, integrated trailer brake controller, spray in bed liner, short bed, 20" King Ranch rims w/ brand new Michelin LTX tires, tinted windows, power sliding rear window, '08 tail lights, and upfitter switches. The engine is a 12 Valve Cummins, P7100 P-Pumped 1996 industrial 6BTA engine out of a bus, engine has similar mileage to the truck body (w/in 5k). The engine is an industrial engine, very similar to the Dodge engine but w/ a few key upgrades from Cummins, rear water port on the head, larger injectors/pump profile. Before I installed the engine I pulled the cylinder head and inspected everything, bores looked good I put in new headgasket and seals all around, and a new water pump. The engine has had the killer dowel pin fixed, 60 lb valve springs, 4k GSK spring kit, custom ground fuel plate, 4" MBRP exhaust. It has a Holset HE351VE VGT turbo of a 6.7 Cummins which retains it's VGT functionality and is controlled by the Ford PCM. Custom 3" hard piping w/ silicone couplers from the turbo outlet all the way through to the cylinder head, the stock restrictive intake elbow has been removed. Large cummins fleetguard air filter (BHAF). The engine also has a separate 2 micron bypass oil filter setup. The fuel system consists of a frame mounted 2001 F250 fuel diesel pump, the troublesom ford HFCM has been eliminated. A large canister style screw on fuel filter that uses common diesel filters. The Cummins mechanical lift pump has been removed from the side of the block and there is a fuel pressure regulator on the outlet of the injection pump. This setup keeps the injection pump supplied w/ a steady 50psi of fuel pressure making for easy and quick starts. Cold weather starting assistance is handled by thermostart heater. The transmission is the Ford 5R110W, it has a Revmax Stage 5 billet torque converter with a low stall speed to match the Cummins. The transmission is being controlled by the stock Ford PCM, all transmission wiring was untouched. Shift points and torque converter lockup have been re-programmed to match the Cummins engine. I installed an '08 transmission pan and filter upgrade for better trans fluid filtration. Also installed an '08 factory finned aluminum diff cover. The truck has Air-Lift airbags in the rear, 5 gallon tank onboard air tank, front/rear quick disconnects for airing up tires, and an air horn. I installed a lot of dynamat, lizard skin, and 1/2" mass loaded vinyl sound deadening on the cab floor, firewall, and inside the doors. The results is that the noisy 12 valve Cummins is quieted down to stock 6.0 sound levels in the cabin. I've got about 10k trouble free miles on the truck since the conversion. Truck has a custom 1 piece rear driveshaft and a lengthened front driveshaft to accomodate the new engine. When I converted the truck I put new brake rotors/pads all around, new steering box, AC condenser, new AC O-rings throughout the system. The engine uses all of the Ford 6.0 accessories for PS, alternator, and AC compressor. Transmission and transfercase were flushed w/ Ford synthetic transmission fluid. Front and rear differential got new Mobil 1 diff oil. Truck just had an oil change and is ready to go, Rotella 15w40. I'm sure I'm forgetting some details as I've done a lot to this truck, please ask any other questions you may have. Truck is listed locally I have the right to remove the ad at any time.
