Up for sale. 1996 Ford F-250 XLT 4x4 Powerstroke. Vehicle is my daily driver and miles will go up. The only reason I am selling it is to help pay for a new truck. This truck is very reliable, I would drive it to Florida and back to Iowa right now. It is in Cedar Rapids, IA. 52405 New parts this year (2015): Waterpump Waterpump Outlet Thermostat All New antifreeze TS 6 Position- Helps with towing New Radio Air Filter Fuel Filter Oil Changes every 4,000 miles. Front Shocks (10,000 pound) Both Upper Ball Joints Both Lower Ball Joints U-Joints on front axles Both Outer Tie Rods and Sleeves Idler Arm 4 Tires Fuel Pressure Regulator and Housing Starter Both Batteries Transmission Flush (Fluid and Filter) And a few more things I probably forgot. Mechanically, the truck is perfect. Does not leak or burn any fluids. Engine does not have a drop of oil anywhere. All axle seals are nice and dry. Transmission is nice and dry. Starts right up every morning and 4x4 goes right in the second you pull the shifter. The only thing mechanical left to do is alignment. It pulls to the right slightly but not terrible. Drives fine for me. Has hitch and wired for lights. The interior is in great shape. Only thing wrong is the side of the drivers seat where electric seat control is, is hanging down. Very small tear in drivers seat as shown. Other than that, nice interior. Electric locks and windows. Onto the body, the truck is 99% rust free. I have a picture showing a very small paint chip on the passenger fender where it is just starting to rust. Other than that, nothing. The bodywork I Did. The drivers box had a small dent above the wheel well, so I put Kitty hair on there and bondo over it. The drivers door and fender had kissed at one point so I did the same thing with kitty hair and bondo. Than a good wind gust got the door again when I opened it, that is why the drivers door and fender is bent up. I do have the paint in hand. The tail gate is dented, but I have another tailgate I will put on it, same color and in perfect shape. Any questions, let me know. Truck runs and drives like a dream, just needs a little body work. Very reliable. $1000 Deposit due within 24 hours and you have 7 days to pick it up. Yes, you can drive up and trailer your vehicle back, this truck tows great. I hate to do it, but I need to eventually sell my F250 King Ranch. There is a loan on the vehicle through USAA, so I'm selling this one over the one I own. The title is normal/clean other than that. I've owned the truck for 2 1/2 years and have put 10,000 miles on it in that time. It does have high mileage, but runs amazing. This truck has everything and every option I know of. The leather, sunroof, remote start, heated seats, heated power mirrors, 4wd, crew cab, back-up sensors, dvd player, so on. To get a newer truck with the same amount of options would be twice as much at least. There is a couple things that can be fixed, depending on the buyer's personal preferences, but nothing to stop this truck from driving anywhere. I will do my best to be extra thorough in the description, good and bad. Gas V10/6.8L engine, indestructible motor! I love this motor and love that it is gas. None of the diesel problems or costs to repair. I love Ford, but that 6.0 diesel was terrible. The one common problem on Triton motors is broken exhaust studs, and I had them all replaced when I bought the truck. Has a K&N cone air intake, with a brand new filter on it. I just replaced the oil, (Ford Motor Oil if you care), rest of fluids are good. I've only had one problem the entire time I've owned. A cheap ignition coil went out and was only a hundred bucks for new one, (spark plug done too just in case). Transmission and 4WD work perfectly, not much else to say about them. Brakes, rotors and pads are about 6 months old. Also replace both front brackets and guide pins, (one was slightly catching but I'm very proactive). Had some other stuff replaced/repaired when I bought the truck, I'll have to look at my receipts for more specifics, (like front ball joints were done). The exhaust system was a Magnaflow when I bought it, but was starting to rust out after the muffler. I cut it off and planned to replace it after this last winter, but honestly like the way it sounds now. Denny's quoted me a couple hundred dollars to replace the muffler and pipes. The battery is less than a year old.The interior is in good shape. The King Ranch leather is worn away like the rest of them, but it grew on me. I do hit it with leather treatment. No alarms in gauges on. Sunroof works perfect, no leaks. DVD player, wired up with a parking brake bypass. Works pretty good, but sometimes when paying CD's the colors distort on the screen. Never done it on a DVD, but want to point it out. Rear sliding window, no issues or leaking. Steering wheel leather was rough so I have a cover on it. Back-up sensors work great and are helpful, especially with this large truck. Seat heaters and power on both front seats. I have the original carpet floor mats and hard plastic mats, (Wade SureFit. both front and back). Carpet, headliner, dual visors, plastic all looks great for its age. Trailer brake controller. Heated, power mirrors are easily overlooked, but very useful. Upgraded range remote start with 2 remotes, plus a lot of factory remotes and keys.I have 2 sets of wheels and tires mounted. The first is the stock ones with good tires on them. Last fall, I replaced them with aftermarket wheels and brand new Cooper Tires. Only have a couple thousand miles on them tops. Alignment done again at that time! The aftermarket wheels started to pit/spots of rust after just last winter. You can swap the wheels and tires, stick the new tires on old wheels or brand new ones, however you want. I just planned on plastidipping the aftermarket wheels black. Stock wheels have lug nuts and caps for them, which are pretty expensive for the King Ranch ones.The exterior is probably the worse, but still by no means bad. There are some light scratches down the passenger side, and a dent on both sides at the very end. I swapped the headlights and grill for the 05, 1 Piece chrome style. Looks a lot better! I replaced the rear bumper and step pads this month. Very little rust, just started. There is a chrome grill guard, (don't know brand), with PIAA fog lights. The wiring and everything is there for the fog lights, but not working. It's been that way since I've owned it and I've never wanted to use them, so I left it off. It has a hard, locking CoverCraft tonneau cover painted white and a couple keys. I'm also including a snap-on Extang, soft cover. Has a plastic bedliner made by Rugged Liner. The roof cab lenses where replaced with clear LED's, (now white), and the turn signals on the mirrors are white LED from Recon. I have both of the stock ones still if you prefer amber. The garage behind the truck is my neighbors, I assume a 7 foot door. Fits in my 8 foot door garage. Stored inside all winter.As you can see, I've done my best to keep the truck in tip top shape. Everything known has been fixed, with the exception of the exhaust and fog lights. I don't want to get rid of it, but I can't justify 2 trucks with a job change in the future. The NADA value put it just over $10,000 in decent shape. However, I'm asking $9000 or best offer. I think that's closer to its fair value. I'm in no rush, but need to sell it eventually so I'm more than willing to negotiate though. Please reach me through here and I'll get back to you as soon as I can with my crazy schedule.
