Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Auto restoration shop offers this 1955 Ford F100 Short Box Pickup as a running/driving project. I found this truck in a rural high desert Washington farm town stored in a barn. This truck had been sitting since the mid 80’s until I brought her to my shop. We have the truck in a running state good enough to load/unload on a trailer, drive up the street under its own power. I’ll describe the major points below, please watch the video and look at the picture link to establish condition for yourself. This is one of if not the most desired model pickup trucks to own. Good candidate for a shop truck patina rat rod or for full restoration. Click this YouTube link for an 11 minute video of this truck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4nPvQv_r9U Click this PhotoBucket link for 78 pictures of this truck. http://s953.photobucket.com/user/fj40man79/library/1955%20Ford%20F1 MECHANICAL The Y-Block 239 V8 runs and sounds amazing. Looks to be original, no signs of rebuild. When we started it for the 1st time since the 80’s it lit right off, no smoke or rattles. Motor sounds like a new rebuild, very obvious to me low miles. The 3 speed transmission has working gears, there are missing parts for the column so we added a make-shift lever to move the truck around. So, we have 1st gear and reverse. The video shows how to operate the truck in detail. Rear end feels good, clutch good, brakes good enough to hold on a hill. Extra parts for the truck pictured are included. BODY The body is in excellent original un-restored condition speaking 60 year old truck. The pictures and video tell the story. The original VIN tag is intact with a matching clear/clean WA state title in my name. I come across cool old trucks in fields and barns once in awhile in my travels, very rarely do I buy them due to no titles. This one has a title, very important, no miles of BS paperwork and problems. If you restore this truck having the original tag title for a 55 truck is very important value wise, the price drops when it’s titled as a 2015 custom build. I have a shipping broker whom has shipped dozens of vehicles for me, I’ll put you in contact with him or work with your shipper. I will deliver up to 300 miles for $1.50 a loaded or 1 way mile. Full payment due within 3 days to my US Bank business account via bank to bank transfer or cashiers check. I’ll take PayPal, but you must pay the additional 3% in fees. I will 2 day you the papers once I’m paid in full, truck or papers leave my possession when cleared payment is verified. I welcome 3rd party inspections during not after the auction, Skip Auto Appraisals & Pre-Buy Inspections, I own that business. 1950 F-1This truck has a very good running flat head V8 and a 4 speed transmission. When driving the truck you need to double clutch the truck in between shifting gears or the transmission grinds when trying to go into gear. Even with the double clutch you need to position the stick right when switching gears or it will still grind. I don't know if this is typical or if the transmission is just getting worn out. The engine was converted to start with the key instead of the original push button start on the dash (which now operates a horn). The engine starts every time, without hesitation. It idles very nice and drives down the road great (once you get used to shifting the transmission). It goes down the road nice and straight and has very good tires and wheels. The brakes also function great. It has a very nice sounding dual exhaust (not too loud). The truck was converted to 12 volt and has newer gauges installed as well. All the lights and electrical work good. It still has the original heater and the dash was not cut up for a stereo or anything. The interior and the paint was all redone about 16 years ago. The interior still looks good with no tears in the seat. The head liner is all still in good condition and the floor is very solid. All the glass is in great shape other than the two wing windows have a little bubbling on the bottom of them. There is some bondo that is coming off in a few areas on the body of the truck. Also, the paint is starting to crack in a few areas. I tried to take detailed pictures of all the areas. The worst areas is on the hood, the back tow fenders and where the running boards meet the fenders. It's been driven for the last 16 years after the paint was done, so there is typical wear and tear on the exterior and interior. The paint could be addressed or driven as is. It still looks very nice from a distance. Someone installed two metal skulls on the front fenders as you can see in pictures. The running boards are in good shape. The hood was redone about 3 years ago and is a slightly different shade of blue than the rest of the truck. The engine bay looks pretty good and the frame and undercarriage is in very good shape. This is a very fun weekend driver.
