Up for sale is a good 1956 Ford F100 short bed pickup project. I purchased this truck from the estate of the original owner which makes me only the 2nd owner of the truck since it was new. It came factory equipped with a 6 cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission. They are both still in the truck, but the engine is locked up from sitting since 1978. The truck currently does not have the front sheet metal installed as I was getting ready for an engine/trans swap. The bodywork has been completed on the front fenders and they are in primer. I have a different hood for the truck instead of the one pictured that is in much better condition. The running boards have been removed and I am including a new set with the truck instead. I have a lot of new parts including chrome front and rear bumpers, running boards, inner front fenders, radiator core support, air deflectors, lower front valance, full stainless steel fastener kit for the front end, aluminum radiator and 460/C6 swap mounts and crossmembers. I also have a strong big block Ford 460 engine and C6 automatic transmission that goes with the truck. The engine is equipped with a small cam and an Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold and chrome Edelbrock valve covers. The truck has a clear Oklahoma title in my name and the tags are current. I am taking a big loss on what I have invested in this truck but I need the shop space and could use the money to finish another project. You are more than welcome to come inspect the truck prior to bidding. A $500 deposit is due by PayPal immediately, with the balance due by cash or cashiers check within 7 days of auction end. This is a "One of a Kind" 1953 Ford F-100 pickup that was completely built by a good friend of mine. The mileage on the odometer is correct as miles since built approx. 00,575. This truck is All Steel and is Very Clean. It has a 2.5" Chopped Top but utilizes a full size windshield as it has a Custom fabricated Cowl. He built the Tilt Hood, Frenched in Antenna hole, Custom gas filler Door, Custom cut and sectioned steel bed floor, Volare Front Sub-Frame with the torsion bars for adjustable ride height, power steering, and manual disc brakes. The engine is a stock 351 Windsor with an Edelbrock Intake and Carb. The C-6 Automatic Trans has been rebuilt and so has the 9" Diff. (not sure of gear ratio) Stock exhaust manifolds with the H-Pipe and Duals exiting at the rear with chrome tips. It does have A/C . Both the roll pans, tailgate, and running boards were custom built. Recessed door release and custom running boards. The complete interior was built by him as well. Cloth seats with lumbar support, Custom Console, it appears he has installed electric window switches although still manually operated. Tilt Column and Tinted windows. He was quite a craftsman. My friend built this over a 12 year time. He passed away due to illness before finishing her. Some minor tinkering will be needed. Such as installing a power antenna, pin striping or graphics, perhaps a custom steering wheel, adjust the steering wheel as it is off just a bit, but tracks straight down the road. The speedometer gear needs changed to obtain accurate speed. There is a wind noise at the firewall that needs insulating. But all the Hard Work has been done. All in all this truck is ready to cruise and show as is! I have driven it approx 50 miles myself and she drives nice. Get ready, because every where you go people will be honking, waving, and asking about your cool old classic. It has a 6 cylinder engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. It has a slight power steering leak and the top of the dash is in rough shape. There is no A/C it came from the factory that way. Rust is surface rust. There are some dents on the hood bur repairable. some dents on kick plate on passenger side. The dents are not major and should be easily repaired . The cab has most of the chrome taken off except around the windshield, but will come with the truck. All the paint on the cab has been stripped to bear metal the primed. The heads alone cost $600. to have done with new seats. The motor can use a new or rebuilt Carburetor. but the one on the truck still is satisfactory. I love the truck, but I'm just not able to fix it up enough to save the truck. I'm retired with limited income. One other thing is it has good breaks, but needs bled and adjusted.
