The most notable upgrade on this truck is the full Western Hauler conversion package. Western Hauler is not only one of the first converters of medium duty haulers, but they still remain stronger than ever today. No converter has even equaled the attention to detail and quality of products used than the people at Western Hauler. Each truck is hand built by craftsman that have been employed at Western Hauler for decades. It is amazing to visit the facility and see so many familiar faces, no matter how long it was since the last visit. Unlike many other converters, which are now no more, they don't use junky crimp together electrical connections, and cheap imitation wood trim. They only use far superior products and labor, equal to many times far better than the original factory. While this truck is NOT a 1 owner, it is very clean inside and out. You can see sign of paintwork, but I believe this all comes from the added paint package. I did run a vehicle history report and it does show a minor front impact. I would assume the added 2005-2007 grill, headlights, and bumper were done at this time. We did touchup a few places on the running boards as it had scuffs from normal wear and tear. The truck has NOT been smoked in and there are NO funky smells. Everything works as it should including all conversion items including the Air Bags, 94 Gallon Auxiliary Fuel Tank, DVD System and Newly installed Full Screen Stereo and Backup Camera. We did install new Goodyear 225-75-19.5s all the way around. The truck has gone to a local diesel repair facility and had a full inspection and service. While at the shop we added a EGR delete kit, headstuds, updated oil cooler and replaced a few injectors. If you are not familiar with the 6.0 Powerstroke I would invite you to do some research online and find that once this work has been performed, these engine are great. I personally have a 6.0 powered Ford Excursion in my garage and have had good luck with it. While the 6.0 does have its limitation and quirks, these are easily repaired and nothing like the 6.4 which is common to have catastrophic engine failure. I have gone to great lengths to make this truck as nice as possible as I had planned on using it for myself as a haul truck. I ended up buying a new Chevrolet Duramax and selling my Toyota Tacoma so now my daily driver will serve as a haul truck. The first stop was the diesel shop, then tires, then a new stereo with Bluetooth and backup cameras on the headache rack and license plate. There is a switch to toggle between each camera and an option to turn the cameras on without having to put the truck into reverse. The front bumper, headlamps and fog lamps were cheap Chinese knockoffs so I purchased a new bumper that had been in storage since 2006 and had the upper pad painted. The headlamps are not Ford, but the foglights are. I re-sprayed the bed and took the goofy bed rails that Western Hauler once used off. Then I gutted the interior so I could steam clean the carpet and scrub the seats down. The seats are from Hauler and had spray painted bases, so they went to the powder-coat shop to get finished properly. I did replace the vent visors as you could tell where they had been installed since new and had a little paint fade around them. Unfortunately they are little smaller than what Hauler once used so you can see evidence of where the original ones once were. The interior is very clean has NO funky smells. Please do NOT expect a new truck or a perfect truck.......feel free to Purchase one new from Western Hauler....they get about $90,000 for a new 450/550! If you are picky and on a budget, this is the truck for you. If you buy a new truck every year and want a show pony, keep looking!
