For Sale by Owner:1997 Ford F-250 XL 4x4 Off Road - $5400I'm the second owner, and knew the original owner personally.68,000 original miles and clean title. Never plowed or hauled. Eight foot bed, regular cab, 351 Windsor V8, manual locking hubs and transfer case, automatic transmission, steel wheels, dual fuel tanks, sliding rear window, updated am/fm/cd stereo w/sub hookup (speaker cables need to be connected), bed liner. A/C works. New brake lines, front end, battery, as well as a complete work history. I can provide more detail if you like, just ask.Engine runs great, strong and responsive, ready to be put to work. Steady idle, brakes are nice and firm, 4wd works and will get you out of almost anything. This is a 20 year old 3/4 ton truck, so by no means is it perfect. Stiff suspension as to be expected, needs rear shocks (which I may be able to include in sale) and the oil pan leaks. Check engine comes on now and then when driving for more than an hour straight, possibly fuel cap or 02 sensor. Interior is clean, no tears. NJ Inspected through 11/15. I bought this truck a bit ago and here it sits, short story.....the truck ran like an animal and had tons of power but was a little tough to start....it had some leaking orings on the injectors and the front right fender was a little kinked up.....I pulled the fender and was going to fix the fuel leaks....and this is how far I got due to shortage of time and a new son ha.....I have the grille, headlights, and a straight fender for it.....when parked it ran great and the 4x4 worked perfect and before I bought it a new radiator was put in it.....has a homemade flatbed and the cab is solid(I didn't roll under and thoroughly inspect but the corners which are normally the trouble spot are fine)..... It has a tilt column with cruise and ac but the ac radiator is not there......hopefully someone can get it going again or needs a great doner truck.....have a clean title and a car trailer so I can deliver for a fee or free if within reason, as first.....any questions feel free to ask, Thanks Joe Asking 1200 obo
