I wouldn't hesitate to drive this Excursion to Alaska or to the southern tip of Mexico!! I love my Excursion....it has so much power, so much room and has been so reliable but I own 6 vehicles and I'm catching a lot of grief from the wife on how many trucks I have here at the house. All the miles I put on it were highway miles. Never wrecked. Has the trusty 7.3 ltr that I so wish was still offered today. You will notice I updated the front end to a 2007 with a kit I ordered. All genuine Ford Parts. It was a direct bolt on kit. No modifications were necessary. I added the bull nose and Led light bar. All professionally installed. The bar light is wired to the factory fog light switch. When I updated the front end I also updated the mirrors and Ford factory Wheels also. People and friends never believe its actually a 2002. I just spent $1460.00 on the Cooper Tires on this Excursion. THEY HAVE NO MILES ON THEM YET. In fact I just ripped the stickers off the tread.I wanted the truck to be right before I sold it so I had everything I knew was wrong fixed....Which was... I had all 4 door lock actuaters replaced.(they stuck sometimes) Also I had the heater door actuater replaced. I had the rear main seal replaced (was expensive labor) And because without good conscience I couldn't sell it with the roof dvd player acting up. Maybe ONCE out of a dozen times you used it.. the screen would not come on and you would have to cut it on and off a few times and it would come on. So I had a brand new one professionally installed. The engine light is on ...and when you hook it up to the computer it tells you there is a code with the #8 glowplug. So I ordered a set of new glowplugs and had it replaced and it still shows that code. It cranks fine and has no symptoms but I wanted it fixed anyway. The other seven new glowplugs are in the glovebox. I even had the glowplug relay replaced. But it didn't make the code go away. It's a code with no symptoms. And I replaced what the mechanic suggested and the code says????? I added a touch screen Kenwood stereo/dvd player and kenwood speakers throughout the truck. You will notice how good it sounds. All in the factory locations and everything looks factory. No modifications are obvious. Also because I drove it on trips I had a large screen GPS unit HARDWIRED into the truck. It sits out of the way and in the perfect location without any wires running to a cigarette outlet. But if you like you can download gps to the kenwood touchscreen unit also. This stereo is bluetooth and has handsfree phone service. I had every single interior light switched over to a LED light. My new vehicles come that way so I paid a local shop to order and install them on the Excursion too. Even the running board lights and the license tag lights were updated. I also paid $340 for high quality factory looking brake lights. All this including the headlights were updated/modernized in good taste. I'm 44 years old. These additions do not have the looks like a young high school kid did it. This excursion when you put it in reverse turns the whole stereo screen into a large backup camera. Just as clear at night with color nightvision. Was very expensive and better than the one on my 2017 F-250 This excursion has a tow package including electric brake controller A/C front and rear work perfect. Including heat. 4 wheel drive works perfect. Large rear windows open up as well with overhead controller I have always been proactive on maintenance. I replaced the camshaft position sensor recently because it was still the same one that's been in it since I've owned it. About 6 months ago I saw that the turbo had some play in the wheel so I had a new factory turbo reinstalled. You can tell its new because it sounds so good(turbo whistle) now if you give it some throttle. I've always stayed on top of oil changes. You may notice this excursion has a very slight taller stance than factory. For looks only and without sacrificing ride comfort I had a 2.5 inch lift kit installed professionally. Please feel free to ask me any questions ON ASK SELLER A QUESTION and feel free to take her for a ride. I'll give the new owner a FULL TANK OF DIESEL FUEL and a FRESH OIL AND FILTER CHANGE. ( I will let you tell me if you want the oil changed before or after you come by gift certificate so you can inspect the current oil for water or metal ) It has neither but you can see for yourself. I have not used this truck since December except to take it to 2 shops to make the previously mentioned repairs so I will also put 2 FRESH BATTERIES IN THE TRUCK for the new owner. It cranks fine now but I think they're 2 1/2 years old. I just had it detailed, cleaned and shampoo'ed
