RELIST DUE TO FOREIGN BUYER NOT COMPLETING TRANSACTION!!! Please ask ALL questions BEFORE buying!!! This listing is for one very rare Ford E350 custom dually 5th-wheel hauler. Built in 1987 by National Coach, it is a Landmark package custom bodied van/truck. National normally builds ambulances and other commercial vehicles, so this truck was built sturdy. This truck was built and sold new in Southern California, where it has been well cared for all. It is built on a commercial Ford cutaway R/V style chassis, much sturdier than a regular van. These vehicles were designed and built to be the ultimate 5th-wheel haulers of their time. Very low production. This is number 42 out of I believe around 100, give or take, by this company. The beds were custom made and of great quality. There were a lot extra little details incorporated into the manufacture of these custom coaches. It has never been used to haul a 5th wheel or any heavy loads. It was fully optioned with the 6.9 liter diesel engine with aftermarket ATS turbo added as part of the conversion. The engine has a low 90K miles, but has had a valve job, upgraded HD head gaskets, and ARP head stud conversion done in the last 20K miles Bullet proof. This very expensive, but common, conversion done for diesel owners who are "in the know" about the 6.9L and 7.3L diesels. It also has had the Ford upgraded injection pump installed sometime not too long ago. Recent work to the truck includes: Complete fluid service and filters on the whole vehicle New top of the line HD shocks for the Ford HD commercial chassis Completely rebuilt A/C system to modern 134A standards- Everything from the compressor to the expansion valve, etc. and every seal in the system. ICE COLD! K&N custom air filter All new fuel filters New belts Newer hoses-cooling Newer radiator-HD 4 core Complete new brakes on all 4 corners in the last 4K miles New tires (6) in the last 5K miles Upgraded free flow muffler in the last 2 years New headlight switch New stereo and speakers (sounds great!) Etc.Etc.Etc. The Gear vendors unit was recently upgraded with the digital multi reader and new controller to the tune of just less than $2,000.00. Has a foot controller also to manually shift the unit when not in auto mode. Works properly. This truck has been always adult senior owned and babied. It has been garaged 95% of it's life and it shows. The dash pad is perfect as it has been covered with a custom carpeted removable cover since 1987. Beautiful original custom Landmark interior package with optional hidden strip mood lighting. The interior appears just about new with the exception of the driver's seat which has some wear on the bolsters on the entrance side due to just sliding in and out of the coach. Everything on the interior including gauges, lighting, radio, etc. is working perfect. Has a fully functioning electric trailer brake controller which is wired to the trailer hitch and to the custom 5th wheel plug in the bed. The inside is definitely beautiful. The exterior sports it's original paint and is in very nice condition for it's age. Nice and shiny, but a professional polish would make it new. Never has been wrecked or damaged. The body is straight and very clean. All Exterior lighting works 100%. It came with very nice bed railing, custom lockable storage boxes built into the side of the bed, full running boards, custom chromed wheels, chrome rear mud flaps, custom rear bumper, rear slider window, custom side sliding windows. custom tow mirrors, bed rails for a sliding 5th wheel unit, class 5 hitch, etc. All of this was factory on the conversion. The chassis , I would say, is more of a 2-ton commercial style. (I have a 1987 EMC Starfire 31 foot R/V [looks like a Lincoln motor-home] and it sits on this same chassis, only stretched). So, this truck is way overbuilt for it's purpose. But, it rides very well. The undercarriage is very, very clean and shows pride of ownership, superb service and care. Since this truck was used most of it's life only in CA (to drive from Orange County to Palm Springs or the local mountain resorts like Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear lake and on occasion tow a small aluminum boat to the local lakes for bass fishing), it has never been driven hard or abused. I am selling this truck for my good friend who is over 70 years old and no longer has the ability to enjoy this rig. Since his ownership (he is the 2nd owner), it has always been stored inside and driven on occasion for pleasure mostly around Newport Beach, CA. I recently sold he and his wife's little Triumph and the sale of this truck is part of his continued down sizing and simplification process due to advanced health issues. I have driven this truck about 60 miles on a very hot So. Cal. summer day (over 100 degrees), and I can tell you that it performed flawlessly. The A/C will freeze you out, the engine and drive-line are ultra smooth and the turbo diesel has more power than I remember my Excursion turbo diesel having. It is so comfortable and easy to drive that you really have no need to stop. The overdrive works wonders keeping the engine RPM's down to a modern car level, allowing for better fuel economy. A truly unique and beautiful vehicle to drive and enjoy. I found that it turns more heads and gets more thumbs up driving down the street than I could ever imagine. This truck is truly one of a kind both in it's physical rarity and condition. Most of these were used and abused. This truck has been more than well cared for and never abused. To replace this truck today with just a standard Ford, Chevy, or Dodge would be upwards of $70,000.00 !!! and would have nowhere near the style and uniqueness that this truck has. I have personally owned and towed with many diesel trucks over the years, including very new ones, and I will tell you this is on par with a new HD diesel truck both in chassis strength, pure diesel power and torque, and comfort.. and the best thing.. no smog test for this truck! I had to smog test my excursion, so no modifications were allowed, With this truck, you can do as you please and there is no government entity to tell you otherwise... It will also outlast a new truck due to it's simplicity in mechanical injection, simple wiring, and ease of service. Don't miss out on this one of a kind rig.
