This listing is for a retired taxi, now used as a daily runabout car. It does need a few things done to be a nicer car. Steering outer tie rod ends should be replaced, as the car was replaced just before this service came up. Tie rods show wear and play, but are not expensive to replace. There are a couple of oil leaks. One is the oil filter adapter gasket, sitting behind where the oil filter screws on. Next oil change would be a good time to replace this one. Also, there is a bit of seepage from the valve cover gaskets, so they should be done as well. The parking brake is non functional, I have not looked into it yet to specify the exact cause. It's a former cab, so shows overall wear and tear commensurate with that. It is a reliable, good running vehicle as well, thanks to the maintenance it received while in my fleet. Perfect inexpensive transportation for someone. I have estimated the mileage at 340K, should be pretty close to that. Don't let the miles fool you, my personal Towncar, which is this vehicle with a different body, has 800K and still going strong! 1955 Ford Crown Victoria, original 272 A/T car. Currently has 292 and 3 speed both need rebuilt. Car has been in my family since 1963 (my dads first car) and was last licensed and driven in 1972. With the exception of 2 years the car has been stored inside since 1975. The floors and trunk are in excellent condition, little rust in the rear wheel lips. The surface rust you can see in the picture is from moisture getting behind some bad body work in the left rear quarter panel. (work that was done in the 60's) The metal is solid and there are no holes from the surface rust. Car is complete but does not run, all trim is there and the back seat is included just not in the pictures. Car is an original painted Tropical Rose and Snow Shoe White.
