1951 Ford Coupe, C6 automatic with shift kit, 302 engine bored 30 over, dual Holley 750, Roush Lower unit, stiff main bearings, polished rods and glass beaded, ARP fasteners, forged aluminum pistons, deck surface is 0.010 under to insure they are flat, ported and polished heads, three angle valve job, Manley steel valves, with a 9.5-10.5:1 compression, high lift cam, high flow mechanical oil pump, MSD distributor, single roller timing chain, 9 inch Ford rear end with 4:11 gears, 4 wheel drum brakes. This Ford is set up to run and can be turned into a 4 speed as clutch mount is under the car. Car was built for the strip but never raced. I drive it once a month and it is a blast to drive. It cruises down the highway at 85 mph straight as an arrow. Swivel front seats make it easy to get in and out. Lap seat belts. Will need front brakes adjusted as it wants to pull to the right when stopping, I just haven't had the time to look at them. Selling to put money into two other projects. You won't be disappointed in this Ford.

THE VEHICLE I AM OFFERING FOR SALE IN IN GREAT CONDITION FOR THE YEAR OF THE CAR.. THE GENTLEMAN I GOT THE CAR FROM SAID IT HAD BEEN IN THE FAMILY SINCE THE EARLY 1950'S WHEN HIS BROTHER OWNED IT AND THEN IT HAD A CADILLAC MOTOR IN IT WITH A LASALLE TRANSMISSION. HE GOT THE CAR FROM HIS BROTHER IN 1957 AND STARTED OUT AS JUST A DAILY WORK DRIVER. IN THE 1960'S HE PUT IN A 1957 CHEVY 283 WITH A 3-SPEED TRANSMISSION AND DROVE THAT WAY MANY YEARS. IN EARLY 1970's HE TOOK OUT THE 3-SPEED AND PUT IN A POWERGLIDE AUTOMATIC OUT OF A 1968 CHEVELLE. HE STARTED TO FIX IT UP AS A MILD STREET ROD HAVING THE CAR REPAINTED IN THE 1980's AND HAVING THE INTERIOR REDONE IN A GREY CLOTH MATERIAL AND ADDING A SET OF VW BUG BUCKET SEATS. STILL HAS ORIGINAL DASH AND STEERING COLUMN AND STEERING WHEEL. UNDERNEATH IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSIONS AND WAS CONVERTED TO A OPEN DRIVESHAFT WHEN HE PUT THE POWERGLIDE IN IT. WHEN I GOT THE CAR IT HAD NO BRAKES SO I BOUGHT ALL NEW WHEEL CYLINDERS AND SHOES AT EARLY FORD STORE AND HAD TO REPLACE A BAD RUBBER BRAKE LINE. BRAKES ARE OK BUT NOT WAY I WANT THEM TO BE SO MIGHT BE MASTER CYLINDER. HAS 15 INCH STEEL RIMS WITH NICE TIRES AND NOW HAS A 3 BAR SPINNER HUB CAPS INSTEAD OF THE 1967 FORD CAPS IN PICTURE. MOTOR IS ALL STOCK WITH A 2-BBL CARB AND EARLY CORVETTE VALVE COVERS. HAS A 12 VOLT CHARGING SYSTEM AND ALL WIRING IN IN GOOD SHAPE. YOU HIT THE KEY AND IT FIRES RIGHT UP.. BODY AND ALL TRIM IS NICE INCLUDING GRILL AND BUMPERS, GLASS AND PAINT. 1939 WAS LAST YEAR FOR THE CRANK OUT WINSHIELD WHICH IS PRETTY COOL. I WAS GOING TO PUT BODY ON A MODERN CHASSIS BUT JUST COULDN'T DO IT. I HAVE WAY TO MANY PROJECTS I HAVE NOT FINISHED AND NOW I DECIDED TO SELL THE CAR OR I MIGHT TRADE FOR A 1955 CHEVY 2-DOOR OR A 1934 FORD COUPE AND BOTH HAVE TO BE DRIVERS NOT PROJECT CARS. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND FEEL FREE TO CONTACT DAN BY PHONE ONLY AT 937-418-7821 AND I AM LOCATED IN PIQUA,OHIO WHICH IS RIGHT ON INTERSTATE 75 AND I'M JUST NORTH OF DAYTON,OHIO.
