VIN P5FH100311 The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this excellent 1956 Ford Thunderbird. Built on OCTOBER 6th, 1955, in Dearborn, MI, she has clearly led A pampered life. The car has had the same owner since 1997 and was restored at that time, though we do not have the documentation, the restoration is self evident. The TORCH RED paint is excellent with deep shine and great luster; though is does have some minor blemishes as would be expected of a 18 year old paint job. The car has a WHITE colored HARDTOP that’s finished to the same standard as the rest of the car. She is a roadster, and DOES NOT have a convertible top. The two toned RED/WHITE (code) interior likewise is in excellent condition; clearly restored, the leather is supple and unblemished. The gauges and instruments were restored; they look and perform, as they should. The RED carpets were also replaced and are excellent, the trunk is also carpeted. The 292 CID motor was certainly rebuilt, starts easily, runs smoothly and has good power. The engine compartment is well detailed. The original FORD-OMATIC TRANSMISSION shifts smoothly. She has POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, and POWER SEAT AND WINDOWS; all of these systems work as they should. The chrome and exterior trim is excellent. The underside of the car shows well. She rides on steel rims with chrome hubcaps, and RADIAL white wall tires. The suspension is good, and the car runs straight and true. We represent this car as an above average driver, and the quality of this car is self-evident; the car often won local shows. The interior is in excellent condition as well. She has her original 390cid/300hp 4 Barrel V8 mated to her original Ford Cruise-O-Matic and a 3.00 rear end. The WHITE vinyl convertible top was replaced at some time, the top mechanism has just been serviced and works as it should. The chrome is in good condition, as are the suspension and brakes. SHE HAS A FACTORY ORIGINAL TONNEAU COVER WITH HEADRESTS!!! She has steel wheels shod with whitewall radial tires; plenty of tread remains. All mechanical and electrical systems work as they should, including all gauges and lights. The underside is nice with no issues. She is a pleasure to drive, and runs as well as she looks. The power convertible top was replaced as well as the electric top motors; the system works as it should, and is is in near new condition.
