2004 F-250 crew cab diesel,4wd,traded on a new truck. Truck is rough,overall,so,I will start with the good part first: solid body,almost no rust,it was a TX truck for most of his life,has some flaking paint,dents and dings all over,however,no rot,just superficial rust where the paint is scratched. Engine starts right up,does not smoke,idles smooth,no check engine light present. Transmission is good,no codes. Drives fine down the road. Has a beautiful smoke stack in the bed... The bad: turbo is blown or very weak,it does not have the power that it should have,EGR is disconnected,that affects the transmission too,because with lack of power and signal from the turbo,stays longer in gear before it shifts up,unless you manually upshift,then its fine... Tires are pretty much bald. AC does not blow cold. Interior is dirty. We noticed that it has some sort of extra fuel pump,electrical,with a switch on the dash,if you flip the switch,it will rev up higher... If you are mechanically inclined,buy it,drive it home,and fix it...if not,stay away from it and buy a nicer one for more money. BEST OFFER.
