The bed goes up and down with ease with the push of the switch. Very handy for many purposes. This dump bed is for lightweight purposes only and is an electric operated bed. You could easily convert to a heavy duty hydraulic with the switch out of a hydraulic pump in place of the electric screw cylinder. Overall this is a very nice truck. Selling for a friend of mine he is a retired mechanic for over 45 years. This truck has been highly maintained and well taken care of. He is a non smoker so no odors in the truck.
