For sale is my 1968 Ford Country Sedan. It's a survivor car! Pulled it out of its 25+ year slumber from a garage in North Bergen, NJ. When's the last time you saw one of these? Did your folks have one? Did your friends uncle have one? Taken long trips in one? Well here is the opportunity to get one of the coolest cars on ebay. I havent seen many listed in the past year, and non in this condition. This car is drive-away ready. It's not a perfect show room car that you wont want to take out on a rainy day. This car is a driver and it drives so SMOOTH! The original owners were local to me, but had this car stashed away in their garage. The transmission was the reason it had been parked. The seats were wrapped in plastic, so upon removal of the vinyl I was greeted by beautiful clean, tear-free seat upholstery. The brakes... OH THE BRAKES on this car a phenomenal. When I first drove it, I was hesitant to get up to any speed. Once I got a feel for the brakes, they can halt this beast in a hurry! Big power disc brakes and large finned drums in the rear. I replaced all of the hard lines, soft lines, hardware, pads, turned the rotors, replaced the seals and lubricated everything in order to have perfect brake function. The results are my favorite thing about this car. I am an ASE certified High School instructor. I performed all of the work, including the transmission work. I should have receipts for all of the parts. The rear window regulator was rebuilt, the doors all open and close perfectly, lights work, I have invested countless hours into this project and I am VERY pleased with the outcome. Things she needs:- Never tired repairing/recharging the AC system although I did install a new belt. - I disconnected the heater core (didn't want to damage it, while getting the carb setup and heat cycling)- The windshield washer reservoir was leaking, so i pulled it out to repair.- There is a spot under the rear passenger floorboard that is starting to rust through. Aside from this, the floors are in GREAT shape. This area is really an oddity.- There are a few (2-3) spots towards the lower sections of the body that are rusty or rusted through. - The spare tire well is rusted at the bottom (no surprise there). Contact me for a driving and walk-around video of the car! Details: 390 v8 FE block car. Original engine. Performed a compression and leak down test to find numbers well within spec.Stock 2-barrel AutoLite Carburetor inspected, cleaned and adjusted for proper operation. Car fires right up! FMX automatic transmission rebuilt with new torque converter by FloridaTorque ATF flushed and replaced with proper type F fluid ATF inline filter installed 9" rear axle with 2.75 final drive (highway gear)!! (new bearings, new seals, installed a drain plug, new gasket and u-joint u-bolts) Power steering works great (new belt) AC (not currently working) (new belt) Mint clean interiorAll glass is intact and in GREAT shape Period Correct Cassette Player New wiper blades New starter and electrical cables and connections.New Duralast 12v Battery New radiator hoses New upper and lower ball joints RaybestosNew upper and lower control arm bushings in the front end Raybestos New swaybar mounts and links New belts for PS, AC, Alternator New plugs New wires New distributor cap and rotor New KYB shock absorbers front and rear New diff housing gasket New rear axle wheel bearings and seals New wheel bearings front and the endplay properly set Refurbished and refinished engine oil pan and gasket New fuel pump New oil pressure sensorNew oil filter and fresh oil (replaced the oil twice) New brake hard lines all around (no splicing!!) Has all original glass including the Harley badged windshield. Motor runs like new and is super fast with the Eaton supercharger. Always professionally maintained, motor is stock with addition of a K&N cold air intake. I have the stock Harley badged air box and will include in the sale along with the stock headlights and tail lights. Body is solid, no dents or rust. Has Ford bed liner. There is some clear coat fading on the passenger side front fender and a bit on the passenger door. Its not very noticeable, but it is there. The front lower bumper has rock chips. Body shop quoted me $480 to repair fender and bumper. Brand new battery and 2 new front tires, rear tires are at 50%. This is a rare truck in great condition and everyone always comments on it.
