1933 Ford Speedstar Coupe!! 3 Window Coupe sits on top of a completely built Bobby Alloway Chasis!! One of the most highly documented Speedstars to exist. Please read all captions, view all pictures, and watch video at the end. If you do not have an updated web browser, google chrome will maximize this eBay ad! On a car like this 1933 Ford Speedstar, what really sets the market on pricing? Is it the guy who put over $200k into a car to make it look like a million bucks, but then had to unload it for close to nothing because of personal and financial reasons. Does that mean that the rest of us, who have such sweet rides like this 33 Speedstar, have to suffer because of that? In the 90's most of us rode the wave and took more money out of our homes, credit cards, overdrafts and safes because we thought it would never end. But because of this, we shouldn't let cars like this suffer in price. Its not the car's fault. Cars like this were built with a "money is no object" kind of way, and they show it and should be appreciated for that. They are not your common Novas, Chevelles, Mustang and Camaros you see at every show. Let us be the first to tell you, this 33 Speedstar is a show stopper, not a show upper. If anything, you would have thought the value of current street rods, if built right, would only rise in value. We are not quite there yet, so for all the gals and guys that played their cards right back in the late 90's and their youngest just finished college, it might be time for a little treat. We are still in a time where street rods are bringing about 1/2 of what they are really worth, or at least half of what an individual had invested into one....again....if done right. But when history repeats itself, as it always does, and these ultimate street rods are back up in value, you don't want today remembered as the "should have, could have, would have" kind of day. The 33 Speedstar, offered here today on ebay, was built by one of the most legendary street rod builders of all time, Bobbie Alloway. With that being said, the original owner of the car kept every document possible, not only for records, but to build a story about how special this car was going to be. Included in the documentations are receipts totaling over $70k(just in parts), and actual faxed documentation with, which we think, is Bobbie Alloway’s handwriting. In effort to capture the true essence of this very special street rod, we have taken as many pictures as possible to depict how special and how truly AWESOME this car really is and looks and a video on how UNGODLY she sounds. We have 100’s of additional pictures if needed to see but just wouldn’t fit here on this ad. This 1933 Speedstar has quite a resume and is highly documented back to day 1. We will try to list everything, but if you have even more specific questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Exterior: As you can see from the pictures, this Speedstar is stunning, not only in its appearance but also in its stance. If you want eyeball, this car has it all day, but its tastefully done. The body is a Rat's Glass 3 Window Speedstar Coupe. The exterior of this street rod is dressed in House of Colors Persimmon Pearl as the top coat and snow white pearl on the bottom. Those two colors are divided by a fire mist green pearl which sets the two dominant colors off just right. There is no shortage of chrome and bright work that dresses the exterior, and on a perfect day when the sun is right, it really pops. The body is extremely straight from head to toe and front to back and all the glass is crisp and clear. The car itself has roughly 7500 miles on it and shows very little to no road wear. Certainly nothing that appears in the photos, but for even the most trained eye, tiny nicks are even hard to find. The paint has plenty of shine and depth. Side rear view mirrors are custom molded to fit the body lines, and the center hood scoop was custom fitted from a 1977 Trans Am shaker that was strategically placed right above the air cleaner so the massive zz502 Big Block can suck in cold air. Also the steel side panels have custom hammered shark fins that not only look awesome but allows engine heat to dissipate out the side, literally almost how a shark breaths. And lastly, the rear brake lights are hidden within the body that you can faintly see in one of the pictures. Please view all the pictures and video that will tell the story on how awesome this exterior looks. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Interior: The interior as you can see from the pictures compliments the exterior colors with an Ultra Soft Dove Grey leather and with reddish orange insert that picks up exterior schemes. Looking up to the headliner, you have a matching grey Ultra Suede headliner. The windows are tinted from the doors back and the doors include power windows. Bear claw suicide power remote doors allow you to open the doors with a simple push of a button on a hand held remote. There are also safety latches on the interior that doesn't allow the door to open by accidentally pushing the remote button while driving. Also, the interior has a Dakota Digital Dash system that includes 6 gauges to monitor speed, engine statistics and fuel and the soft lighting of the gauges split the night when driving in the dark. They are coupled with NASCAR style switches. Also, has Lokar door and hood release levers. And for sound, there is a 1,000 watt sound system by ADS, coming through an Alpine head unit. Also in the interior is an updated, fire extinguisher for looks and safety. Moving to the trunk interior. The interior of the trunk, matches the interior of the vehicle and is displayed through a power trunk switch that opens the trunk remotely.(see video) The gas tank and the battery are in the rear trunk compartment of the car. The interior was redone in 2008 with complete documentation and receipts. Please view all the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have. Drive-Train: The drive-train of this Speedstar is magical. It actually brings together the collaboration of the exterior and interior, and all the chrome that is present as you walk around the car. And as you walk around the car it is apparent that this Speedstar can walk the walk, but when you open the hood and turn the key, that massive zz502 comes to life, it is more then music to any car lover's ears. There is no other sound then the cam roll of a big block and we hope the video will capture that for you. For easier visual reading, we are going to list the highlights of what is under the body.... Summation: This street rod appeared in 2009 NAPA Calendar and brings home a trophy no matter where she goes. We can not stress it enough, there are binders of documentation and receipts along with cancelled checks and carbon copies of certified checks. Every step of the way was documented.
