This is an original MI sportster which originated from the 1951 mechanix illustrated November issue.This car was built according the MI plans and is all hand built during the 1950's. This car was started in 1952 by the original owner and completed 3 years later. This article boasted plans for the builder to create a 100MPH roadster for less than $500!!!!By taking parts from 1930's & 1940's cars the builder could build one fast sportster!! Car is in great shape for its year and being hand built. Has an amazing running flathead ford v8!! This car is one of only 11 known to be in existance from the total of 14 that were built. This car is a 1951 MI Sportster. Due to the fact the plans call for parts from the 30's and 40's it is registered and cleared as a 1941 Ford. The car is complete, comes with extra set of heads I got with it, along with all the documentation of the original Mechanix Illustrated issue along with build plans as they came. This car was handmade, and is certainly a conversation piece. This cars original owner built the car over 3 years building each part by hand thus it shows it. I bought it a while back from the 3rd owner who got it back up on the road and running. I am selling the car due to the fact I have only drove it 2 times and havent since last year due to health issues and costs I need to sell this wonderful piece of history. Car runs and drives great. I put a newer battery in it, and it gets started and ran once a month. Car is in a heated and a/c storage. Has new windshield that was made for the car that just needs to be installed. I have a 1965 Mustang Coupe Wimbledon White 289 V8 65000 original miles. It has Black Standard Interior with Manual Brakes and Steering and 3 Speed Manual Transmission. The Mustang was painted ni 1996 and is all original except the left front Fender. This Mustang is in excellent shape and nothing to hide. The pictures speak for themselves. Suspension has new Scott Drake Upper and Lower Control Arms, Spring Saddles and Stabilizer Links. The front and rear Springs were replaced a few years ago with Detroit Eaton with correct spring rate and were recently detailed. Steering parts were bead blasted, phosphate and oiled and parts were replaced as needed. Engine (289) was recently rebuilt with less than 750 miles on rebuild. Bored .30 over. All cylinder head components are new. New comp cam roller tip rockers. New comp cams RV cam. All timing compounds are new as well as all new pistons and bearings. Harmonic balancer and flywheel are new too. Fuel system lines and fuel tank are new and the carburetor is rebuilt. Cooling System has new water pump, thermostat housing and radiator. Exhaust System manifolds are ceramic coated and powder coated natural. New stainless steel manifold bolt locks. Muffler is new and the rest of the exhaust is aluminized and recently detailed. Transmission is manual 3 speed and the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing are new and the shifter was rebuilt recently. The Mustang was recently touched up and detailed. The engine compartment was repainted and the underside of car was detailed and touched up. This is a very nice Mustang that has been taken care of and a must see.
