1997 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, very rare color "Thistle Metallic" Ford produced only around 2200 Mustangs in this color. This car has always been adult owned and driven, kept in a climate controlled garage and never smoked in, it has also never been driven in the winter and it shows. It's powered by a 4.6 liter V8 with 101,600 miles. I have changed the oil every 3k miles with Mobil 1 full synthetic. The 5 speed transmission shifts well and makes it a lot of fun to drive. It is well optioned with PW, PL, CD, AM/FM cassette with the Mach 360 system, power top that works well, remote trunk release. The A/C and heater both work very well. The "Bullit" style wheels are off a newer Mustang, the tires are brand new Falken ZR1 which ride and corner very well. The only thing I have done to the car besides routine maintenance is a new Steeda adjustable clutch cable. The stock units were known to have issues and this was an upgrade. Everything works, there are no mechanical issues and no leaks. It's very reliable, I drove it an hour to work on nice days with no issues. The paint is in good condition, there are a few minor rock chips, but nothing major, no dents and absolutely no rust. the underside looks like new and you can tell it's never been driven in the winter. The top is frayed on the very edges where it rubs the body when it goes up and down, this is purely cosmetic and causes no problems, the top does not leak. I also have the protective bag for the top boot in the trunk. I'm only selling it because the amount of my toys is exceeding the size of my toy box and I have to make room. If you're looking for a rare Mustang convertible with the "Sports car feel" this is the one. I have done my best to describe the car as accurately as possible. Feel free to ask me any questions.
