This Explorer has about every feature available when it was manufactured. It has been well cared for and maintained. All service has been done by Ford. It has been one of the most reliable vehicles we have owned and is still being driven regularly. We are selling it because we have too many vehicles. It has a 5.0 V8, automatic transmission with overdive and all wheel drive. The engine still has excellent power and starts easily even in very cold weather. It has AM/FM radio, multi disc CD player, cassette player, climate control AC, both front and back. The back seat has controls for heat/AC and sound system. It has power door locks and windows, power driver and front passenger seats, leather seats, rear wiper and defrost, heated power side mirrors, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, auto on/off headlights, remote keyless entry and touch pad keyless entry. It has new Wrangler mud and snow tires on the front and older Wranglers on the rear. We are not aware of any mechanical issues and it has only minor non-mechanical issues. It does need new rear brake rotors and pads; the front passenger window will not come up due to a broken wire (the window is up now). Based on repair estimates by a local Ford service center, we have deducted $375 from our desired price of $2,650 for an asking price of $2,275.
1973 Ford F100 Ranger. 428 V8, 4 x 4, 4-speed manual transmission, power steering and brakes. Original owner. Handles and runs well--engine is strong with muscle car power, does not smoke. Engine has about 82,000 miles on it; transmission has been rebuilt, brake linings replaced and drums turned. Odometer reading is 81,227; it has turned but doesn't show on old style 5 digit odometer. Dash and dome liner very nice, no cracks. Has like-new Highway LT radial tires. Was painted from factory blue to current blue in late 1980s; any rusty (minor) panels were replaced. Has never been in an accident. Was a Colorado vehicle (garaged) until 2001 when it went into retirement; has been stored inside in Kansas until March of this year. We have taken it to car shows but it is not show perfect. There are three very small areas where paint bubbled and has minor scratches on passenger side from fence gate. Engine bay and box have not been detailed. It gets a lot of attention and compliments. We are not aware of any mechanical issues. Since it has been in storage and driven minimally since 2001, we suggest the buyer trailer it and not drive any significant distance until it has been fully serviced.
