Selling my BABY!July 2015 Car does need u-joints replaced. Total cost is $496.12. Car does still have a transmission leak. Small leak due to over tighten pan? I did have work done on it. Shop said with bad u joints this cause some of the transmission to leak. July 2015 $442.57 of work...rear breaks, rear wheel cylinders, and break fluid service. June 2015 $1200.00 of work...reseal timing cover, replace water pump, replace ignition points, rebuild carb, oil change and etc...transmission work done. 289 engine is original and runs strong. c4 transmission-v8 Interior seats and carpet are new. Seats are in perfect shape. The carpet is new, but needs to be attached better in some areas.I have all the handles, radio, knobs, etc. Exterior has some primer, but some of it needs to be redone, small amounts of surface rust. Nothing major. Speedometer was replaced off of a 65 and is 10,000 miles lower that shows in picture. I have all original trim, radio and more in a box. I also have all receipts of work done to the car prior to my purchase. Please see all pictures and video. Message me if you have any questions. I AM SELLING THIS CAR AS ISI love this car and I am only selling it because I need something different at this point in my life. QUESTION: Hi, any rust in the floors, frame, fenders, or the trunk areas where the spring perch's are or any other place?ANSWER: There is no rust on the frame, floors or the trunk that I can see from pulling the carpet back. I have had the car worked on several times and no one ever mentioned anything about rust. They usually do living on the coast...I have only had the car for over a year. So, I can comfortably say the car is in great shape with the body and frame...I looked up online where the spring perches are located and I cannot confirm, but then again, no mechanic has mentioned it either. I do know that the area just was checked out when I took it in for the carburetor because the shop told me I need to replace the shocks...right now it is in the shop getting the rear wheel cylinders and break service done...I drive the car around town when needed so, I have to have it operating properly... QUESTION: Hi, is there a rust hole thru the top of the front drivers fender? also what is the oil pressure after running for 1/2 hour? I noticed the temp gauge was already warm when you started it in the video? what does it start like cold? Thanks ANSWER: Hi, the holes that you are seeing there are for the mustang emblems. The guy that I bought the car off of took them all off to paint the car. That day I did the video it was super windy, especially here on the beach so, I drove it to a parking lot first. This is why the temp was up a little bit. To start the car cold. Pump gas petal once and starts right up. The car has no issues. Only thing is that the oil pan on the transmission was put on too tight and tranny fluid leaks a little bit. My X did that. This is what the shop told me. The car is in great running shape and body is good! I have not had it that long so I do not know all of the little details... The original owner told the person I bought it from that he did research and he insisted that the car is a true 64 1/2. I bought it as a 65. But if it is a true 64 1/2 that makes the car more valuable? I just don't know. When I lived in California and had a 66 it was all cherried out and everyday was a good sunny day to work on the mustang and know all of the details and little things about the car. Here in Oregon it rains 75% of the year and hard to do that...know what I mean...If you have more questions or want some pictures I will do my best. I think the car will be in the shop for about a week or so.
