"Car will be sold to the first reasonable offer". I personally knew the owner of this car. He last drove it in 1977 and gave it to my best friend when he no longer felt he could drive safely. It has sat in a NJ garage since 1977. He, my friend, asked me to sell it and had it transported down here to Hudson, FL. Before I forget, the car is missing the keys. This car has a locking steering column which I thought was fairly rare until just advised that all 1938-48 Fords had locking steering wheels/ unfortunately we did not find the keys in the car - we have no ignition or door keys = the column is locked. Not sure what a locksmith would want to key it. The motor is a Flathead V8 = don't know the cubes or hp. We turned the motor and it is not frozen - we did not attempt to hot wire start it. Fuel lines and fuel would need to be flushed out. Clutch still feels great and when dry shifted, it went smoothly thru the gears. The brake pedal goes to the floor - master cylinder is under the driver side floor. Emergency brake handle still engages, works and releases fine. The roof is not rusted or rusty, is dent free and very nice. The door hinges are fine. All door are smooth = no dents. There is some body rusted thru on the lower back area of the front passenger side fender, just above the running board and car has some other exterior rusty spots (mostly where the fenders meet the running boards) and a few minor scrapes and dings, all in easy fix areas. (limited in showing every single minor issue with the pictures allowed by eBay). Both running boards are good and solid. Has some rusty floor board areas but I didn't pull the rubber floor coverings up to see the extent. Hood brackets are good - one spring is off (we have 2 brand new hinge springs that will go with the car) and one d/s bracket arm came loose but is present. Glass - driver side front vent has cracks and driver side rear vent swing out window has a single crack = All the other glass is fine with no cracks or chips. Windshield is Fine. Has both wiper blades. Front cowl vent opens with the inside handle. ***We have the original hood ornament, and both original front emblems. Missing are rear trunk ornament, horn button ring, headlights, the 2 headlight retainer rings and one headlight ring, the 4 hubcaps are missing (still has all 4 beauty rings), the 6 volt battery, both front parking light lenses and missing one tail light bezel - I think that's it on missing parts. The rear seating has the two floor mounted foot rests. Has all the interior and exterior door handles and all the dash chrome and other parts are on. Has all the dashboard knobs. All dash plastics are fine, none are cracked. Good inner glove compartment box. Both inside sun visors are in place. Headliner has several small holes and a larger one in the back but it is all there and not hanging down. Has very minimal body rust for a Jersey car. Chassis has surface rust but is not rusted thru in any area and the frame is Solid. Has a solid front I beam axle with leaf spring. I put two "brand new" B.F Goodrich top quality tires on the back rims. Has one original snow tire on the rim as a spare tire. The front tires are the originals. All (5) rims are 600 x 16". Has the complete original working jack, handle and the base. Has 99.9% of the interior items, radio, knobs, gauges, clock, two ashtrays on top of dash - missing one of the inner trays. I haven't and won't be putting the car on a lift but the under carriage, although rusty, looks intact, including the entire exhaust system with the single tailpipe. Gas tank has some surface rust, not rusted thru. The car has never been in a accident and it is straight as an arrow. All chrome and doors are flush in line. Bumpers are straight. Paint is original and on the bill of sale, is marked BL (Blue). Trunk floor has some rust thru on one side as seen. The passenger rear door has some bottom rust, the other 3 doors are very good. Interior door panels have age. All the interior door handles, window handles, all the arm rest are present. Front and rear seats were recovered long ago and are in fair shape. Has front seat belts, probably installed when the seats were re-covered. Rear seating area is very spacious as you would sit far back by the rear vent windows. All and all, it is a very solid car to restore or street rod. The pictures are a better all around description, so use the close up and see what you think. The mileage is accurate and this man really just drove around his home in South Plainfield, NJ. Car is not perfect but 100% original except for the added seat covers and front seat belts. My friend put the title in his name two years after he had the car ( 8/6/79 ) and the prefix on the title ( Bill of sale ) is A - pretty sure the A stands for 2nd owner since every time you title a Jersey car it goes up by one letter = A to Z. It is a clear, clean title. If I missed mentioning something you need to know - just ask. Holding the car, after full payment is made, for any reasonable amount of time is not a problem. For sale is a 2006 Ford Focus SES (4 door Sedan) with only 65600 miles. Although it has some visible outside dents and scratches, the interior is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The car drives very well. Engine runs strong, transmission shifts smooth, AC blows ice cold air. All power windows are functional, radio has mp3 player with great sounding speakers.
