This 70 F100 is an amazingly clean unmolested example of a "Bumpside" last licensed in 98 before we got it! As can be seen in the pics, the truck still wears its original paint, the interior is still original other than the bottom of seat being recovered sometime in the past. All of the glass is original Fomoco Carlite. This truck has not been wrecked from what I can tell after a very close inspection and shows NO signs of rust. It spent most all of its life in the desert. The engine has been completely rebuilt and upgraded. The heads have all new valves, guides, Comp Cams VLV springs, retainers, locks, and hardened EXH seats for unleaded gas compatibility. The rockers are Ford adjustable, the rocker shafts are DOVE chrome hardened versions, pushrods are Crane, lifters are genuine Ford "shell" types, and the cam is a vintage Racer Brown piece. The crank was reground, the rods completely rebuilt with new rod bolts, the pistons are TRW Forged, and the entire assy was balanced. The comp. ratio works out right at 9.6:1. This engine runs great on pump gas and has a nice 'bumpy' idle! The intake is a Edelbrock Streetmaster that has been port matched to the heads. The engine was dyno tested and cranked out 370HP/430ftbs. The trq curve is very usable and not 'high strung'! The carb is a NewOldStock Carter 600 peice with a electric choke, and the ignition is all Accel brand from the dual point dist, the coil, the spark plugs, and the Extreme 9000 plug wires. The clutch was replaced with a newer style 'diaphragm' from NAPA, the trans( A RARE BorgWarner T 85 'R11' 3 speed) has had both seals replaced(shifts smooth), and a Mr Gasket floor shifter was installed. One out of 3 u-joints replaced(the other two are still tight!) and the entire brake system has been overhauled with new components other than the drums themselves. The exh. system(2 into 1) starts with Flowtech headers and leads into a "mandrel" bent system ending with a Dynomax muff installed in the original location. The truck sounds very healthy! The suspension/steering is tight, the steering box "rag joint" was replaced with a new part, and all 4 shocks were changed with new Gabriel pieces. The radiator, heater control valve, water pump, heater core, and all hoses are new. The alternator was changed out with a NOS Ford unit, the voltage regulator is new, as is the battery and all 3 cables. Overall this truck is done mechanically, just needs somebody to finish it off cosmetically(Paint, wheels/tires) if desired! I have put a few hundred miles on the truck since it has been done and it drives out very very nice with decent mileage to boot(12-14)! Any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for looking...........................
