The clutch needs adjusted. The bed has a few cracks which could easily be fixed with some duraglass or replaced as the stepside beds have fenders. The paint could be redone or driven as is, there is absolutely no rust and the truck runs and drives great. For 4500 it's a good deal but I do have some room to work. For sale is my 1989 Ford Mustang Saleen car number #142. The mileage is sitting at 102k and will not go up as I don't drive the car. I purchased the vehicle from the third owner in Denver Colorado. It comes with a binder full of receipts, original paperwork, and some documentation on the cars origin. The original saleen floor mats are with the car and in flawless condition. I would rate the interior a solid 9-9.5/10. The exterior I would rate a 8-9/10 as there are two small cracks in the original paint, yes it is the original paint. The car has obviously never seen any wet or winter roads as the underside is 100% rust free and even bares the original overspray. Then engine has been recently serviced with new plugs and wires, and a new air filter. The t5 shifts as smooth as butter and the clutch engages perfectly. Saleen made 546 hatchbacks in '89 and only 11 white and gold exterior with the beige and black interior! The only things I have done to the car are a full pypes exhaust, and new bfgoodrich tires. The previous owner who planned to race this car had a full maximum motorsports suspension kit installed along with under drive pulleys and even Baer brakes! It handles like a slot car and runs and drives flawlessly. I recently drove the car about 8 hours with the ac on and she didn't skip a beat, I amazingly averaged 27mpg!!!
