(does have a little blow by when you first start in the morning) By clears while underway. Good Manual Trans. Smooth Shift. But Linkage is a Little Tricky at Times. Solid Chassis, Decent Body. Has Had Some Small Minor Body Work Performed. Nothing Major. There is Rust Starting At The Leading and Trailing Edges of The Bed Interior. Cab Corners are Good. Floor Pan Has Rust Appearing. Now a 351 4V Cleveland With Automatic Trans Still Has the 3rd Pedal if You Decide To Convert To a 4 Speed. (definitely worth a shot)Not a Fan of the Automatic Transmission. Personally the Toploader 4 Speed is The Way To Go. Originally a DSO 21 Atlanta Truck. Has Remained in The South for 55 Years, Nice Body.. Straight ! one small ding in pass door (see pic) No Visible Rust. Cab Corners are Excellent, Bed in Decent Shape. Chassis is Solid and Body is Clean. Dual Chrome Mirrors are New.. I Was Told The Heads on This 428 Might Possibly Be Cobra Jet Heads. They Are "C8AE". I Have Looked Over The Heads and They Do Have Studs Protruding From It As Some CJ's Did. I Don't Really See Anything Alpha-Numeric That Precedes The Casting Number On The Head. Which Would Eliminate it From Being a CJ. But ! Yea Never Know. Hey ! ..Always Fun Decoding The FE Blocks. Strong Strong Runner, "POWERFUL" Very Responsive and Fun To Drive. Tight ! Good Clutch, Shifts Great. Brakes Stop. But a Master Cylinder Might Want To Be On Your Short List. Body Is Very Straight ! The Truck Was Sold By The Grandson of The Previous Owner Who Was 84 Years Old. It's Been With The Same Family For the Past 40 Years. I was AMAZED At The Overall Condition This F1 Was In When I Walked Up On It. Unbelievable. What a Survivor. You'd Be Hard Pressed To Find Any Rust. Review The Pictures For Yourself. Beautiful Patina Front to Back. Super Clean Cab Corners, Beautiful Floor Pans. Interior Is In Fantastic Shape. Of Course The Wood Bed Is Passed. I've Placed a Heavy Rubber Mat Over The Bed In the Interim. It Has a Super Straight Body Except For One Small Ding Near The Very Back Fender above The License Plate. Still Sporting Its Original and Desirable 239 V8 - 8RT Flat Head and 3 Speed Top Loader Transmission Married To The Spicer Axle DANA Rear End. The 239 8RT "24 Stud" Engines Were Popular Among Hot Rodders. They Had Thick and Beefy Cylinder Walls. The Truck Has Been Idle Since "01" However, She Does Turn Over. For Starters, It 'll Need a New Fuel Pump and The 6 Volt Battery is Weak. Her Front Bumper is Also Among the Missing. Brakes Will Need Attention as Well. Outside Of a Few Simple Mechanical Tweaks. You Won't Need To Break The Bank on This One.. Get Her Up And Running And Drive Her Just The Way She Looks. Amazing Condition. Great Patina ! Hard To Believe It's 65 Years Old.
