Up for auction is a real solid, original pain, un-molested 1940 Ford Deluxe 2 dr. Sedan. This car was found in a garage in a town not far from me, where it had been stored in a nice dry garage from 1977, yea, 38 years! We got it home, turned it over with oil in the cylinders for a while, dumped some fuel in the carb and she fired right up. At that point she was prepared to be a driver. She got new plugs, points were good, plug wires, rebuilt fuel pump, rebuilt carb, new water pumps and thermostats, top and bottom hoses, new master cylinder, wheel cylinder, brake shoes, and turned drums, new battery tray, new battery, fuel line and a new "Tanks" poly gas tank. About all else she needs is to have the lights sorted out and a new muffler installed, the head-pipe is good and a new tail-pipe goes with the car. It has cracked glass on the drivers windshield, drivers door glass, and both back windows. All are usable but I am just covering everything. It's a very solid car with the only rust issues being the tool tray (common) and a Swiss-cheesed driver foot well from snowy boots (Minnesota-very common). Extra parts included are the tail-pipe, new windshield rubber gaskets, and windshield wiper arms. The car starts right up and goes down the road good, she's a little cold-blooded. I have 15-inch wheels all around, 4 1/2 inch in the front with new 185-65x15 radials, and 15X7 with 235-75x15in the rear. (used tires) It has 46-8 Ford caps. It has scrapes, dings, and bumps here and there, but remember she's "original". All and all she's a pretty nice honest car.
