1986 Ford Ranger with a 289 V8 engine. The previous owner said the engine was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago but I don't have any documentation for it. It has an Edelbrock carb, jegs intake, and headers. The engine sounds great, it has a small cam in it. Has a C4 automatic transmission which shifts great. The only known mechanical problem is the gas gauge doesn't work. The brakes aren't the greatest because the power brake booster has been removed at some point so it only has manual brakes. The body is good, the paint is fair but it is from a spray can so it will likely fade and crack before long. This truck isn't perfect but is a good start for a cruiser or could be made a show truck with some hard work. Prospective buyers are welcome and encouraged to come and check the truck out prior to making an offer. I am slightly negotiable on the price but will not consider lowball offers. This truck is for sale on my used car lot and may be sold at anytime. It has a Ga. title. No trades, no financing. If you are a Ga resident you must add $43.75 TAV tax plus $18 to transfer the title into your name. Non Ga residents will be responsible for tax/title/registration fees in your home state when you register the truck. The truck is 29 years old so it isn't perfect, it is being sold strictly as-is with no warranty. I ask that the buyer pay for and remove the truck within 7 days of purchase, the buyer will need to come to my car lot in person to complete the paperwork. 1996 FORD RANGER "SPLASH" EDITION This is a great little economical truck, 4cylinder with a 5 speed manual transmission, cold air, heat works also, no leaks or smoke. Has a few scratches here and there and as I mentioned earlier the original seats have some stains and a small what looks like cigarette burn. Didn't even try to clean, we had installed some slip on covers for now. Remainder of the interior is very nice, all glass is good. I haven't owned the truck very long so don't have much history to tell you. There is no rust, frame is clean underneath, engine bay also clean showing no leaks, looks like it has been taken care of. Truck has an aftermarket am/fm/cd stereo radio with remote. The truck drives fine and I am sure it will make somebody a nice little truck. I have put a buy it now so you know where I am at on price. Keep in mind this is a 1996 and not a new truck, I recommend you come look and see and drive before purchasing.
