Before you read of the epic build and existence of this car, please understand one thing... this car is NOT for the faint of heart or checkbook! When driving this car, the second you dont respect or understand this car, it will coil up and bite you like a Cobra! This car has been the feature car at numerous events including SEMA, Back to the 50's, was personally invited to Blackie Gejeian's show in CA, which is an INVITE ONLY event! TRADES AND OFFERS MAY BE CONSIDERED, but they must be realistic. And now, on with the story... Medusa was one of the most frightening creatures in Greek Mythology. One of the three Gorgons, sisters who were daughters of the Sea God Phorcus, Medusa was the only mortal Gorgon. Beautiful in her youth and inordinately proud of her flowing hair, she boasted of her beauty to the Goddess of War, Athena. Inflamed with jealousy, mighty Athena turned all three sisters into the hideous Gorgons with staring eyes, protruding fangs and a nest of writhing snakes for hair. So fearsome was their countenance that to gaze upon them was to be turned to stone. Apparently, their new found appearance brought their rage to unheralded heights. Indeed they were wanton in their blood lust. Although many warriors attempted their demise, it was Perseus who finally prevailed with wit and cunning. Rather than look directly at his foe, Perseus used his polished shield to see his reflected enemy and thus be able to fight and eventually behead her. Upon decapitation, the winged steed Pegasus sprang from Medusa’s lifeless corpse. Ever mindful of an opportunity, the watchful Athena saved the blood from Medusa’s body and entrusted it to Aesculapius the physician to be used wisely in the world of Men. The blood from her left side was a fatal poison but the blood from her right side had the power to revive the dead. Steve Andersen, a Minneapolis native, has done some automotive mythmaking of his own. From the age of sixteen Steve has been under the spell of internal combustion. Starting with a street rod he progressed to drag racing. First gas rails and then Top Fuel. In the 80’s he showed the first pro street ’32 and then he built the infamous Frankenstude, an all wheel drive, Studebaker based car that set the trend for the modern custom. Steve’s latest effort is the Medeusa, a venomous six hundred horsepower demon that trumpets her battle scream through a nest of snakes set of headers reminiscent of her namesake’s coiffure. This chopped and channeled version of the legendary Deuce Coupe is sure to terrify more than a few brave souls in the stoplight wars to come.
