1967 Ferrari 250 SWB Competizione Berlinetta Rebody Built in Italy by Allegretti in Alloy Competition Body Specification Qualifies for Various Rally & Race Events Genuine 330 GT Series 2 Chassis # 8217 Fresh Thorough Service! 9,863 KM - 6,129 Miles Ferrari sports racing cars of the 1950s and 1960s are among the most desirable, beautiful, and valuable cars in existence. Dominant in racing, a pleasure to drive, and highly collectible, they are the holy grail in the collector car sphere and are now so valuable that they are rarely used, depriving the public and their owners of the joy of experiencing them. Consequently, high-quality reconfigurations using Ferrari mechanical components and faithfully recreate the construction of the original cars have garnered the interest of Ferrari enthusiasts and collectors seeking the experience of some of the most significant automobiles ever constructed without the multi million dollar price tags. This car captures the essence of the SWB, giving a raw aesthetic and visceral experience driving experience. Chassis number 8127 was delivered new in 1967 to its first owner in Germany and was exported to the US sometime in the mid 1970’s. It was rebuilt as a 250 SWB Competition Berlinetta in Italy in the early 2000's . This 250 SWB uses Engine #062 from 330GT #5641. The evocative bodywork, featuring correct front and rear brake cooling ducts, is handsomely finished in metallic gray with Nero Black interior. Attached you will see the aluminum quick release Monza fuel filler cap and the rare find grille-mounted Marchal driving lamps. Completing the exterior are freshly polished Authentic Borrani Wire Wheels, including 9" Rears wrapped in Michelin XWX rubber. From the shape & style of the vehicle you can see that it is a sorted and cared for car. Having been painted near 15 years ago, the paint still gives excellent gloss and shine. The body is straight and bright trim is presentable and nice. The engine is very clean, and impressive to view due to the tri-Weber carburetor setup. The body, doors, roof, trunk are aluminum, while the hood appears to be aluminum-wrapped around a composite material (fiberglass). The interior features supportive and comfortable high sided period-style competition bucket seats handsomely upholstered in black leather and competition type lightweight sliding perspex side windows accompanied by a period correct Ferrari wood rimmed steering wheel. The dash in finished in the correct black crackle texture & black faced Veglia Instruments, all functioning as they should. The car is a pleasure to drive, lightweight doors give the competition feel minute you enter the sparse interior. The wonderful gearbox, and excellent power through the gear range with the added bonus of a gorgeous exhaust note from each one, is the thing of legends.
