The Stealth is a clean car with no known issues. The transmission was worked on in 2008. It runs and shifts very smooth. I put a new battery in it in the spring. There are some wires ran for speakers in the car. There are also a few extra power booster type things under the hood. At one point it had a neon lights and a radio system. There are some knobs and switches that could probably be used for running a sweet sound system. It has an aftermarket JVC radio/CD player now. The car exterior color is a purple pearl type paint. It is a very nice unique paint job. The previous owner showed the car in car shows. The color contrasts are amazing! I tried to show it in the pictures. It is a must see to appreciate. I recently purchased this car as a project and decided not to finish it as I could not get it running. Motor turns over very well but will not fire. 1991 Dodge Stealth R/T One Owner * Only 49,000 Original Miles * Showroom Fresh Condition We sell a lot of rare and unusual vehicles on ebay -- normally European cars, but we do dabble in other imports that are historically significant, rare, or special. Normally I write an extensive description of what the car is, and what the model is all about. However, in the case of this Stealth, the pictures really do the talking. Plus, if you're looking at this listing, I'm sure you already know all about the cars at which you're looking. For the sake of providing the basics though, it's important to note that the Dodge Stealth was manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan through a mutual manufacturing deal between Chrysler and Mitsubishi which lasted throughout the 80s, 90s, and 00s. The stealth is mechanically identical to the Mitsubishi 3000GT, but features entirely different bodywork and is much more rare. Surprisngly, many people don't know of its Japanese heritage, which makes the kind of an oddity. You can fit in in multiple enthusiast communities. Some may argue (myself included) that the Stealth is a bit more exotic than the 3000GT since the "big 3" never really made a 90s grand touring coupe like most Japanese and European companies did. Afterall, they were the trend in the early 90s. The interior of this Stealth is in beautiful condition. In fact, overall, its absolutely spectacular. The interior is finished in black and dark gray cloth. It has the original audio system with a really cool 90s graphic equalizer. It also has the digital automatic climate control which has a really cool animated color display that shows the flow of he air. The air conditioning retains its origina R-12 charge and is still ice cold. Everything in the interior works. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. The cigarette lighter hasn't been used, nor has the ash tray. The car does have a drivers side airbag which was pretty much normal for a premium car from 1991. The rear seats do fold flat for hauling large cargo. It's amazing how huge the cargo area is with the seats folded flat. It's almost like a station wagon! Its possible for adults to use the rear seats, though I wouldn't want to sit back there for a long period of time. Even the carpet in the trunk is incredible. The original retractable soft cargo cover is even present, and we were told that this is an accessory which is virtually impossible to find. It works properly and retracts as it should. It attaches to the bottom of the hatch so it extends and retracts as the hatch is opened and closed. The carpets throughout the car are in like-new condition, as is literally every other part of the interior. This car is truly a time capsule; right down to the "new car smell." The exterior of this Stealth R/T is in exceptionally nice condition, and is Scarlett Red in color. This color is exclusive to the Stealth and is truly the best color for this car. To say it stands out is an understatement. The car has so many unique design elements which are a combination between the Japanese styling of the 3000GT and the 90s design language of Dodge. The front bumper is unmistakably dodge, while the side vents and strut tourette caps are distinctly Mitsubishi. The wheels are very unique and unlike anything on any other car. They're in flawless condition and even maintain their original factory markings from when they were manufactured, and the first tires were mounted. The outside of the car is actually completely free of dings and scratches. The paint is sublime except for a small area of scratches which appears to have been touched up some time ago. They're near the very bottom of the rear bumper in the center. It's hard to see, and was difficult to get it to show up in photos. If you look closely at the rear picture of the car, you can see it. The car has the original front license plate bracket which we were also told is virtually impossible to find. Most people end up screwing the license plate directly to the bumper. No need for that here. It's important to note that this car is completely 100% rust free. This car was clearly never driven in the winter. It could easily be on the showroom floor in 1991. In fact, our dealership was a Chrysler dealer back then, so it's fun to think that it kind of lines up in that respect. The car does have integrated fog lamps in the front bumper and flip up headlights for the low and high beams. All of the lighting works properly, and the pop-up lights go up and down properly and at matching speed. The tires are all in good shape and are matching. They are brand new. The tires were replaced because the age of the original tires made them a safety hazard.The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. Even the brake calipers are still silver with no surface rust showing just how amazing this car's condition is. The legendary 3.0 Liter Four Cam V6 engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. These engines are an incredible combination of power and smoothness. The car runs, drives, looks, sounds, and smells brand new. This is as nice as it gets!
