It is powered by a 230cu inline 6-cylinder with 2-speed transfercase behind a 4-speed transmission and has all been rebuilt. It has been refinished with base coat/clear coat IM 2149 green which is the original color. It is a original non-winch truck and retains most of its original sheet metal which is very rare. The wiring is the original cloth style with rebuilt gauges and single left-hand taillight. The restoration has been geared towards originality clear down to the radiator hose clamps. Everything has been rebuilt or replaced with vintage power wagon parts. This truck is a great example of what a original power wagon should look like and comes with Restoration photos, and invoices. Great Running 1953 Power Wagon. Formerly a Military Truck the vehicle was procured by the Hackensack, Minnesota Fire Department during the early 1980s. They Painted it red, placed cherry on top and Fire Department Logo on the Doors. Approximately 11 years ago, a local resident of Hackensack, Minnesota purchased the vehicle from the Fire Chief/Department and had possession until I purchased it from him. While in the possession of the Hackensack Fire Department, the original engine blew. The Fire Department installed a V-8 360 Cubic Inch Dodge motor from a pickup truck and installed a 2 Speed Torque Flite Transmission which it continues to have today. This vehicle runs GREAT and Shifts Great. There are NO RUST HOLES in the steel body. The red paint is flaking in areas. The interior including the bench seats is in excellent condition. The front windshield folds forward and the entire cab top enclosure can be removed. The fuel tank has been replaced, the fuel line cleaned and the engine completely tuned up. As she is a Former Military Vehicle there is No Title. I will provide all of the paperwork that I possess including the bill of sale from the Fire Chief. This truck is a work horse and located in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. Please feel free to inspect or have someone come by to inspect. She is not perfect, but I am not asking a large sum.
