1948 Dodge B1B ½ Ton Pickup You are looking at a 1948 Dodge B1B ½ ton pickup with 8,259 miles showing, VIN 82111071. It is painted red and has a black vinyl interior. It has a 95hp 218ci inline 6 cylinder with a 3-speed manual. Some original options include 5-window Pilot-house safety cab, vent windows, AM radio (replaced by AM/FM/CD), interior dome light (removed), right side long stem outside rear view mirror, sunvisors, tall side bed sides, steel bed floor (now wood), inside door handles and deluxe upholstered seats. The following was added while the current owner had it; aluminum diamond plate on interior to get rid of the original cardboard panels, headlight visors, Harley Davidson type turn signals with visors, original as-delivered rugs & mats replaced with new, red oak side boards with routed & black accents, furniture grade red oak with aluminum strip deck added on top of original sheet metal bed and handmade red oak shifter & door closure handles. It was originally purchased in 1948 by Birdsboro Appliance in Pennsylvania. Then in 1994 it was purchased and a mechanical restoration was done. In 1999 it was sold to a gentleman who did a complete body-off restoration to bare metal where he fixed any holes by welding in new sheet metal without using any filler. During his ownership the engine was pulled and rebuilt. There have been a total of 7 owners of this Dodge and just about everything had been restored or replaced. On Oct-24-14 at 13:14:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Selling my 1934 Dodge Hot rod pick-up one of a kind build. I purchased this truck in June 2011, from a Hot Rod shop in Ohio, who built this truck. Since that time I have change a lot of parts to make it safer and to drive better. Last year I redid the interior, with green vinyl, marine grade, rolled and petit, added new tires,and changed the Chevy motor, by putting a Dodge into a Dodge. The motor and transmission were rebuilt by D & D performance, here in my town, experts on Dodge motors! I will give his number on request. It is a 360 Dodge Motor, -.30 over with all the right matching parts, and 2.02 heads, a larger cam, and a rebuilt 727 transmission with a 2000 stall. I have the complete list of all the parts used. It is a very strong, COOL running, sounding engine and smooth shifting transmission, which makes this truck so much fun to drive. This truck has a army jeep trailer for the pick up box, fiberglass hood and fenders with real oak and stainless steel strips in the bed. The cab is Real Steel Dodge Cab,, on a 2x4" frame, with 4-bar links, front dropped axle with camaro front disk brakes, balance drive shaft to a 3.08 chevy rear end, with drum brakes. The whole truck weights about 2100 pounds. with a 10 gallon fuel cell, and foam added, sits in a gang box with the 12 volt battery. The doors and windows open and roll up with out any problems with Glass in all, close and the door lock, the cab is finished in green, custom upholstery, with a hot rod ceiling, This is not a Perfect show truck, but a Fun old school driven show truck, won a few show trophy's, also I a have a____ youtube video, that was made at a show, I was asked by these guys and said go a head, check it out, Hot Rod 1934 Dodge Pick-up truck, YOUTUBE, and click on the Green Dodge, check it out. Remember this is when it had the chevy motor and we since changed the seats, took the yellow OUT. This is not a perfect a Perfect show truck, but is a fun show truck, that draws attention Driving or sitting still. And it's so much fun to drive!!! This is a Great cruiser, runs 190 all the time, COOL, their are some cracks in the paint and some Bondo was used in the build, and it is not perfect, but it right. Traditional style not a Rat Rod. $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due by Pay-Pal, within 24 hours after the auction.
