1948 Dodge Panel VAN - Running and Driving Original Panel VAN - Flat HEAD 6 Exterior: Some previous body work has been done to one spot of passenger side door, appears to be some body for a dent. The same dent is present on the drivers side but has not had an attempted repair. The majority of visible rust is along the body of the doors and the section in front of the doors. Flat metal easy patch work. Floor boards are solid. It has been primed and we have removed some of the prime to try to locate any company signage or logos (none found) We did find that the original color was orange (like a Harley orange). Please examine pictures closely. There are cracks in side glass and windshield. Interior: Very basic as one would expect. It retains the original wood in bed section. It no longer has the original seats, and a late model adjustable sliding bench is installed. Please see pictures. Mechanical: The flat head six runs and sounds nice, will sit and idle smooth. Rebuilt Carburetor, The clutch is good through all gears. Volt, Temperature gauges work the speedometer is not working, gas gauge unknown but we can verify. The tires are decent it has 14inch on front and 15inch on back. They are a later style crager wheel. The passenger side rear is missing cap looks to had been cut of at one point. They all hold air. The wipers attempt to work, the are still the original vacuum style so you need to build pressure. The brakes are working currently but is has a master cylinder leak. We have removed it and cleaned it but the o' rings have dried up a bit and need a rebuild kit to make them new again. Fuel tank has been boiled and relined.
