I always furnish pictures of the underside of the car so you have the whole story. this one is solid with some crusty bits where the running boards bolt into the longitudinal tubes. but this being a truck-based SUV from a bygone era when women had big hair do's and men still drove school busses, the frame tubes are solid. only body corrosion is starting behind the rear wheels at the bottom of the fender arches, just above the bumpers. Transmission : -Shifts very smooth and effortlessly throughout all the gears no noises or slipping . Transfer case work fine and the 4x4 high and low engages effortlessly anytime every time . You are definitely going to brag about it in those wintery months if you live up north as it feels like a monster going in the plain . Brakes : Although we did not take them apart due to the fact everything functions normal and no vibration or any weakness observed we can say the Durango has great brakes capable to stop it at any time on the dime as it should . Parking brake is a bit weak and may need adjustment or shoes replacement . Interior instruments : All power windows ,locks ,and mirrors function as they should . Power driver seat also works in all the positions except for the fact that the only bottom to bring it down is the middle one while the other two may or may not catch it seems not getting good contact on the way down sometimes but still work fine going up separately . Front and rear air work as it should and could give you a soar throat in the middle of the summer heat . The Infinity sound system is a blast to listen to as the feel is like being in a theater not in a vehicle is very close and mistaken sometimes as nice as it is . Body : -Over all is very well kept and clean for the year as it has no rust all the way around except on a tiny minor bubble on the tip of the tail gate the size of a half a dime . Nothing noticeable from a distance but just to let you know it is there . Tires : Tires are okay for now no bubbles or vibration of any kind but the passenger side front tire has a leak it seems from a plug that was done prior to us acquiring the vehicle . We recommend a newer set of tires in the beginning of the winter if you live up north and wish to enjoy a safe and sound wintery commute . Overall impression : Very pleased with the way this vehicle handles on the road as it is very sound and strong and seems to have a lot of life left in it's condition as clean and well kept as it is .No sings of trouble on the road as it starts from a very quick click of a turn without even taking time for the starter to spin .And we drove it on long commutes and it performed very well and drove with confidence without moving between lanes when the wheel was released at the speed limit impressively nice . Impressively nice odorless interior as we do not believe in masking bad odors with air freshners this vehicle feels and rides real nice for under 5k this is a real good deal .
