You are bidding on a fantastic and well-built 1966 Dodge Dart GT Convertible "Restomod" classic. This car has undergone a two-decade long, loving rebuild into the gorgeous street beast you see today. Virtually everything aesthetic and/or mechanical was rebuilt, reconditioned, or replaced. Details as follows; - Genuine LP27 GT Convertible, originally factory V8-equipped with automatic transmission- Bodywork performed and completed top to bottom, front to back to a very high standard; no rust, very straight panels- Very nice high-end paint job in original factory color, which meets or exceeds factory-new quality- New white convertible top, pads, and well professionally installed (power top, operates perfectly!)- Rebuilt high-performance 360 4v V8 engine, factory HP exhaust manifolds, Crane Energizer 272 duration .454 lift cam and kit, Edelbrock intake, carburetor, and timing gear set, rebuilt distributor, new electronic ignition, heads rebuilt for unleaded fuel, heads milled, more... very smooth and powerful, very few miles on engine- Exhaust system redone, true dual exhaust front to back, mufflers replace; sounds powerful but not loud- Automatic transmission rebuilt including new torque converter; crisp shifts- 8 3/4" A-body rear end fully rebuilt- Power brakes, system completely rebuilt and working perfectly- Power steering, system completely rebuilt and works perfectly- Steering column rebuilt and restored, including turn-signal cam- Cooling system rebuilt, including radiator, water pump, heater core, and hoses; works perfectly- Fuel system flushed and completely gone through, perfect working order- Electrical system gone through, harnesses, connectors, and switches replaced as needed; everything works except radio (turns on but static)- Suspension completely rebuilt including bushings, bearings, tie rod ends, drag link, shocks, etc.; very nice solid and smooth ride- Rally Wheels with Goodyear Eagle radials- Original dash and gauges are excellent, heater works, top works, lights, turn signals, wipers, etc. all work- New reproduction carpet kit installed- Door panels and seat upholstery are decent "survivor" quality; not restored but still holding up (see interior pictures)- Clean original undercarriage with factory undercoating, no rust issues and no need to restore- Clean trunk, no rust issues- Door glass excellent, regulators operate well. Windshield very good with only a couple of minor nicks... trim very good all around The car is a turn-key driver, very powerful, smooth, and fun to drive. No known mechanical issues other than an oil leak do to simple lack of use... the seals generally swell back up and seal themselves once the car gets driven regularly again. Car starts easily, and drives exceptionally well... tight steering, solid brakes, tracks nicely down the road, and lots of power; the car as a driver is far better than new. I can't really think of anything else to add. I have some original documents, etc. which come with the vehicle, including the fender tag and build sheet. It ships with what I was told is the original engine block. It is missing the DART letters and GT emblems on the rear quarters, and the DODGE letters on the hood, as well as the two forward fender top trim pieces. I MAY be able to locate these, and will include them at no cost if so. I have excellent rocker moldings that come with the car, as well as the four original hubcaps. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. Please be prepared to remit payment in full within 3 days of auction's end via cash, major bank cashier's check (must wait for check to physically clear issuing bank prior to releasing vehicle and/or title), deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank-to-bank transfer. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I will make myself and the car available for loading on short notice. While every effort is being made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 49-year-old classic, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Feel free to call me directly at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have. Car is located in Vancouver, WA 98686.
