Here you have it, a garage find 1964 270 Dodge Dart 4-door sedan. I purchased this car at an estate sale a few days ago and it’s a real gem. I drove it home from the auction and I had a smile on my face the entire time. I am not a car guy however, and this car needs a home where it can realize its true glory and be kept on the road for years to come. For being 50 years old, this car is in great shape. I am not real savvy when it comes to older cars, but I’ll do my best to describe it. If you’re considering bidding on this car, I encourage you to come look at it and experience it for yourself. Here’s what this car has to offer… Engine: The car comes with the stock 273 cu in (4.5 L) LA V8 which has 128,000 original miles and produces 180 horsepower. The car does run and drive, but hasn't been driven regularly since 2008. The car was last inspected in 2008 and could probably use an oil change and a timing adjustment. I drove the car home from the auction and didn't experience any issues until I got a few miles from my house when the car began to run a little hot. I suspect it may be the thermostat, but I can’t be sure. I have a video of the engine starting and running. Send me a message if you'd like to see it. Transmission: The Dart comes with the optional push button Torqueflite automatic transmission, which was only available in the 1963 and ‘64 models. Body: The body of this car is probably its best asset. It’s straight as an arrow and all the doors open and close as if they were brand new. The car was repainted a few years ago and looks really sharp. It appears to have originally been a green color, but was repainted Aqua (paint code J), which was an available color on ‘64 Darts. There is one very small crack in paint on the rear passenger side as shown in the photos. However, there is no floor rust that I can see and the under carriage of the vehicle looks very clean (see photos). Interior: The interior on this car isn't it’s strongest suit, but with some new upholstery and a detail job, it would clean up nicely. The push button controls on the dash make this car really unique and without a shift knob on the floor - thanks to the Tourqueflite transmission - this car is real clean up front. The windshield does have quarter sized crack in it and would probably eventually need to be repaired. The driver’s side door lock does also not work, but may just needs a new core. I am selling this car locally as well, so I do reserve the right to end the auction should I make a local sale. I will not ship the car, but there are shipping options via Ebay if you don’t have the means to pick the car up. You’re more than welcome to come look at the car, just give me a little bit of notice. Please don’t bid on the car if you have reservations. I’d rather not sell the car than have an unhappy buyer. Please contact me at 717-576-0778, or send me a message on eBay if you have any questions or want to come take a look at the car. I also have many more photos that I can share. A $500 deposit will be required after the purchase. Thanks! Bryce
