1996 Dodge Dakota Pickup Truck 4x4 (4wd) SLT Club Cab 5.2 liter V8 Automatic with 227,000 miles on it. The body and frame are in good shape, and it hasn't needed anything for inspection the past few years. The 4-wheel drive works, as do the power windows, door locks, etc. HOWEVER, it isn't currently inspected. The reason is that I lost oil pressure and was compelled to continue driving anyway, so it's got some engine issues, will either need a new/used engine replacement or repair of the current engine. It starts and runs and sounds ok, but I'm pretty sure a bearing is gone. I was looking to get a new motor for it, but I had an opportunity on an other vehicle so I didn't. I looked it up on KBB, and for private party in fair condition the price was $2,858. Naturally due to the fact that the engine will need to be replaced or repaired at some point I'm not looking to get that much for it. Asking $2,000 or best offer. Thanks for looking.

Up for auction is a Dodge Dakota pickup truck it does run,drive and it stops but it does need work. Front end does make noise I'm thinking a wheel bearing, the clutch seems OK [iffy], not sure the condition of the engine. This is a mechanics special and I don't recommend driving too far. Hence the low price. I purchase it as a project but it may be beyond my mechanical skills. Odometer does work and sitting at 230,100 miles which is going up due to me still driving. You are looking at a 1996 Dodge Dakota SLT extended cab 4x4 pickup. It has the standard rust and peeling paint that most dodge pickups had in the mid 90's. This truck has gotten me through some rough winters. I did have an accident with it back in August of 2013. Damn unfamiliar place and stop sign hidden by tree. Anyway, after about $1300 in repairs the truck lives to see another day. Currently has an in dash DVD player, great for your passenger when you're driving and great for you when sitting bored waiting for your wife to come out of the supermarket. The A/C does not work however, the heat will melt your face off. Driver side door is missing the bottom hinge. The door still opens and closes with a little extra effort. I do have another complete power door that I bought but never got around to replacing. I will sell that separate for $450 if you are interested. There is an amp and subwoofer in the truck which are also not included in the sale. This is a great beater truck for the winter which is mainly what I used it for.
