2000 Dodge Dakota 4WD Extra Cab, 147k miles. 4.7L V8, AT, AC, PW, PL, PM (heated), PS (Driver only) Cruise, Delay Wipers, Tow Packages with 7 wire plug, All weather Tonneau cover, bed liner, & Tinted windows. Truck has normal wear but runs and drives good with no major issues. Needs nothing currently; will need rear tires in the next 5k miles. I've owned this truck since 2011 and will provide the buyer with a detailed maintenance/repair record. Of note: This truck will not suffer from the "dropped valve" issue many Dodges have as the potential issue was addressed preventatively. There is no major rust, and minimal surface rust. Truck has been wire wheeled and touched up (some spots with a brush) to prevent rust as needed. NO RUST in the wheel wells. 2 years ago, the entire undercarriage was painted when a cab mount was replaced. it still looks very solid with no further issue. While this truck is not prefect, I maintained it to be presentable and solidly functional for years to come. I am only selling because I switched to a 4-door version of the same truck.; it's ready to drive away immediately. It has sat for about 9 months in my driveway. I just had an oil change done and drove it a few days. Since sitting, the following is happening; brakes pulsate when applied (rust on rotor?), steering is more stiff than I remember (lube needed? power steering pump?), a small exhaust leak at the manifold (not bad and quiets down after a few minutes), and the remote start doesn't work (battery in remote?).It is a great truck and worth the attention to bring it back to normal. I've priced it below book value because I would like it gone quickly and it needs attention for the above mentioned issues. You are looking at a 1996 Dodge Dakota SLT extended cab 4x4 pickup. It has the standard rust and peeling paint that most dodge pickups had in the mid 90's. This truck has gotten me through some rough winters. I did have an accident with it back in August of 2013. Damn unfamiliar place and stop sign hidden by tree. Anyway, after about $1300 in repairs the truck lives to see another day. Currently has an in dash DVD player, great for your passenger when you're driving and great for you when sitting bored waiting for your wife to come out of the supermarket. The A/C does not work however, the heat will melt your face off. Driver side door is missing the bottom hinge. The door still opens and closes with a little extra effort. I do have another complete power door that I bought but never got around to replacing. I will sell that separate for $450 if you are interested. There is an amp and subwoofer in the truck which are also not included in the sale. This is a great beater truck for the winter which is mainly what I used it for.
