The car was built to race a Milwaukee Tool battery powered Bel Air on a episode of Monster Garage, which airs on the Discovery channel. Discovery wanted the Bel Air to race a Sinister Mopar and this is how this car came to be a TV car. { There is a DVD of the episode of Monster Garage where the cars race, and it goes with the car along with magazines showing this car} This car was born a 1970 Coronet and has been upgraded to a 1970 Dodge Super Bee 426 Hemi recreation! They started the project by removing the whole stock front suspension and throwing it a away in favor of a Magnumforce tubular K-member and there lightweight upper and lower control arms. This knocks of a tremendous amount of weight of the nose and greatly improves the cars balance. There are also custom BIG front and rear sway bars to keep the heavy weight Dodge from sloshing around. Thanks to Trick suspension and adjustable 10 position coil-over shocks on all four corners, and sits notable lower then a stock machine, and was enhanced with the addition of Wheels Vintiques 18" Magnum 500- style wheels and low profile Nitto drag radials. There is a "Strange Engineering" Dana 60 rear end out back suspended on "Super Stock" springs and hidden behind all FOUR wheels is a 13" Wilwood dilled & slotted rotors with Monster calipers holding six pistons. For power the Super Bee uses a 426 Hemi motor with a single four Holley carburetor to ease maintenance and reliability. The torque Monster Hemi is mate to a built 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission with a 2500 stall and is held in place with a Magnumforce designed system of buffered engine plates. The plates mount the Hemi rigidly to the forward legs of the cars roll cage, tying everything together up front in a nice tight fashion. The bars themselves are welded to the shock towers to add more reinforcement to the whole chassis, and buffer plates hold the Hemi level while insulating the shimmy from the car and thus greatly reducing the overall shaking of the car which is typical of vehicles using simple straight mount motor plates. There is a boat load of chrome and a healthy amount of polished aluminum, and for comfort and reliability sake a GM style electric alternator, Vintage air conditioning, power steering, power rack and pinion, Dakota orange digital dash, custom steering wheel, two tone black & rust interior, custom sound system and more! 1959 Dodge Coronet (4 Door) Great opportunity to own a unique classic car / hot rod that you can actually drive. 325ci V-8 Red Ram motor. 3 speed Torqueflite transmission. 8 3/4 differential. All original, with some modern updates for safety. I installed power disc brakes on the front, front shocks, rebuilt carburetor, new rear brakes, new BFG radial tires w/ 3" white walls, new 15" wheels and baby moon hubcaps, Optima battery, one wire alternator. Front seat belts This car was repainted in the 70's and has a great patina. This car is not restored. It has flaws, and that is what makes it cool to drive I replaced the trunk pan, and patched the front floor pans. Everything else was very solid. Rear bumper has some rust. Overall this Coronet is in great shape and drives great. Everything works except the radio, and I think with a new speaker it would work too. Has power seats that swivel out. (See picture) I have been driving this car to cruise in events, and around town. Now it's time for someone else to enjoy a vehicle, that is not just another Mustang or 57 Chevy. Has a 5 inch undermount tach under the dash. Factory stereo, has a CD player installed in the glove compartment. Has nice MB Motorsports wheels on it, true dual exhaust underneath with dual flowmasters, will need new tires. Car is a 4 door car, has bench seats. I will not be able to ship the car, you will have to come pick it up or arrange your own shipping after purchase. The car is in Springfield, MO. Car was bought in Pasadena CA new (it has original service record) car then went to Texas and eventually ended up in my hands in Missouri. 1970 Dodge Coronet 31k original miles,super bee bulge hood,the car has mostly original paint,and the car has spent much of its life inside a garage.My Coronet is a WH21COA six cyl manual three on the tree one of 41 made,it now has a very healthy rebuilt 67 440 HP and a 4 speed with new Hays clutch and pressure plate.It sports a NOS pistol grip shifter Handle,All brand new MP aftermarket power disk brakes in front.Front suspension was all rebuilt when K member was changed,Hemi torsion bars installed,brand new freshly rebuilt 489 case 3.91 clutch style suregrip rearend with new Richmong ring and pinion. Brand new mopar super stock leaf springs.A Holley 850 double pumper,Wieand team G single plane intake,TTI headers,into Flowmasters,aftermarket,aluminum radiator,am fm cd player,15 inch chrome magnum 500 wheels super wide drag radials in back.All glass and trim are in excellent condition. NO ROT,has a few small dings nothing major.Aftermarket gauges,the Original interior needs a little work,again nothing major,carpet was cut to accommodate the new four speed hump,top of rear seat needs a new cover.All in all its a FAST turnkey car that is fun to drive,needs absolutely nothing mechanically,and it needs absolutely no rust repair.All of these new parts have less than 500 miles on them.ready to drive. I have the whole blueprint sheet with all the specs on it. 67 440 HP block 55 over ross pistons speed pro rings,stock shot peened rods,ultradyne hyd cam 288/296,906 heads with Indy 2.14 1.81 valves 10-1/2-1 compression, intake port matched with heads blended bowls, bronze guides,hardened seats, arp bolts in rods, crane 1.6 roller rockers.HV oil pump,runs at 190 goes up to 200-210 when stuck in traffic,but flip the fan on and it goes to back to 190. its a three core radiator but it does need a shroud,but the fan works fine.all in all about 7500 spent on the rebuild of the engine and all of the engine parts and accesories,such as TTI headers,intake carb, aftermarket pulleys and brackets and ATI balancer. It was built in 2000 and only has about 500 miles on it,no not a 1/4 mile at a time,engine never raced,it was in another car I had but sold it,installed it in this car,just haven't driven it much.It was built at a very reputable speed shop here in St Louis named AMT
