I bought it in 2004, my family and I have enjoyed it very much. Great Ice cream cruiser and stop light bruiser! 426 Hemi Power !Repairs: Reproduction brake lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, master cylinderMonroe shocksFront suspension bushingsEngine/trans rebuilt, why? Because they were leaking from everywhere! 472 cubic inch now. Magnafluxed, no cracks, 30 or 40 over, Diamond pistons, Eagle crank and rods. Read on...Carbs restoredRadiator re-coredK&N air filterI really hated to remove the old parts but I wanted to drive and enjoy the Hemi, and its just not safe with 48 year old brake hoses! I saved the original master and wheel cylinders, they go with the car. The steel brake lines snapped like tooth picks when I bent them, rusted from inside! The interior is very nice, carpet is showing some age, hey its been around the block a few times! The glass looks nice as well. The rear quarters behind the tires were repaired and its very difficult to tell because they did a nice job. Floors are really nice and clean, its a factory undercoat car. The trunk matt looks original, all taped together with Duct tape no less. Trunk floor is nice, shows original dark green color. Stainless window trim is nice too, please bear in mind that this is Not restored, not rechromed, ETC, the car shows its age, its not perfect, but really really nice. I think its cool cause its NOT all pieced together. It drives great, stops and steers as it should. The radio, lights and gauges all function. Transmission shifts firmly, engine runs quite well. The solid cam came from Bob Karkashian, its a little bigger than stock, mild port job, sounds great! I got 16MPG going to Mopar Nats last year, not bad for dual quads! Everyone will ask is it "matching numbers"? I know Chrysler did not stamp VIN on blocks or transmissions until 1968, so how do you tell? Data tag sez build date was March 28 1966, The engine build date is late December 1965 and I think the cast date is August 65? I bought the block from a guy in Canada and he told me he bought it from Larry Shepards father a lonnnng time ago. Larry Shepards father also owned this car (I have the bill of sale). The engine I took out was cast late in 66 and had Max Wedge rods and crank! It was also windowed and repaired. Nice job too! I have an unproven theory about this car and its low mileage, I think someone raced it when it was new and it just sat around. The bill of sale from Shepards is dated mid 70's and odometer recorded on bill was 202 miles! Anyhow its a really fun car, come see for yourself! I recommend anyone buying a car should not do it sight unseen, its a big investment, come take a look or hire someone. I have a lift so you can get a good look underneath as well. I was told by a previous owner that Galen did a report on this car but I don't have it. Documentation;Title Data/fender tagBroadcast sheetOwner history, some from Michigan, car was new from Ohio, Canton area I believeCerticard Cash or Wire transfer, no checks of ANY kind. Everybody has a fancy color printer these days...Car will not leave until funds are verified. Winning offer is a legal contract to buy, not a time to inspect. Inspect BEFORE you buy. Deposit is not refundable. I am making effort to be honest and descriptive but its impossible to describe every detail of the car here. Come see the car! I think you will really like it. When was the last time you drove a muscle car that did everything right? This one does! Sold As IS, no warranty or guaranty intended or implied. Possible trades for 04- 05 Viper, 08 Vette, 911, Ferrari (no 348 or 355) no paddle shift, if I wanted a paddle I'd buy a canoeDave 734-231-0705 M-F 8-12am 1-5 PM Dust'em off & drive'em! I included a photo showing the original full wheel covers. The Magnum 500 wheels were new last Summer.
