In 1971 the Dodge Superbee took on a whole new body style and for the first time Dodge used a Charger body instead of the Coronet… It was to be the only year that Dodge used the Charger body with the Superbee name plate on it…What I have here is one of 2889 383 4bbl 2 door hard-top’s…. A total of 4144 Dodge Charger Superbee’s were made in 1971, compared to 13046 Plymouth Road Runner’s… Also there were 10614 hardtop and 3640 coupe’s for a total of 14254 Superbee’s in 1970... So I think it is safe to say the 1971 Superbee is a rare model… What I have here is a 1971 Dodge Charger Superbee… It was a very low optioned model, with an am radio, bucket seats, center console, and rear window defoger…So I decided to restore the car the way I would have ordered it with the original drive train (matching numbers)…We started with the original color of the exterior and interior…Plum crazy exterior and a white interior an excellent color combo….We did change the striping color to white reflective and it look outstanding… In 1971 the only color of stripping you could get on a Charger was matte black… I personally like the way the white looks better…Next we rebuilt the original engine … We went 30 over on the pistons, the heads were rebuilt with new valve and springs and guides, ported and polished…we installed a hemi grind cam and a new Holley carburetor…The transmission was totally rebuilt and we added a 355 rear end… The original rear end was a 323 and I still have it…The interior came with the round standard cluster so I changed to a Ralley cluster and added the tachometer… We added an am--fm radio…and a tuff steering wheel, pedal dress-up and an inside hood release…The exterior also had some changes…We added concealed headlamps, chrome outside racing mirrors (both left and right),Ralley wheels 15x7 front and 15x8 rear all mounted on radial t/a’s…On the hood we installed new hood pins and a Ramcharger air grabber …I installed a new Accurate exhaust system…2.5”from the manifolds to the max wedge mufflers and 2.25” tail pipes from the mufflers to the chrome exhaust tips…This is one of the most beautiful 1971 Dodge Charger Superbee’s on the road … Everything on this car is new or rebuilt … The colors, the sound, the whole package is just AWESOME!!!If you have any questions please call 517-505-0894....Buyer is to pay for shipping and all fees... 2008 Dodge Charger Superbee SRT8. #0001 B5 Blue. This is a VERY RARE FACTORY SPECIAL ORDER. If you are looking at this car you already know about the 6.1L that produces 425hp and there were only 1000 Super Bee's available in 2008 and only 70 out of the 1000 were allotted for the Canadian market. This is #0001 of the total production NOT the #1 in the Canadian market, which makes this car very rare and unique. Never before has a #1 car been offered to the Canadian market first. This will be one of the few modern day cars that will be a real collectable in the future. I personally special ordered this car with no toys the way a muscle car should be ordered.... No sun roof...., No Navigation....., no side airbags......, which brought the weight down to 4096 lbs. I m selling my 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super bee. It is a limited edition #890 of 1000 made for 2008. It has 56,508 miles. She is garage kept, and has never been smoked in. Mechanically it is in fantastic shape, but has a few small scratches on the out side that I will show in my pictures. New Firestone tires on it with less than 2000 miles on them. Also has a full size spare tire and aftermarket rim that I bought for it. Brand new, has never been installed. It has an air raid intake. There are no tears in the leather seats, or the carpet. This car is fully loaded, with leather seats that have paint color matching stitching, front and rear DVD players, wireless headphones for the rear DVD player, in dash GPS and satellite radio. The Super Bee has been fully restored from front to back. The drive-train, front/rear suspension, engine bay, trunk, interior, gas tank and rear end have all been restored to a very high quality restoration. This awesome Bee was mainly completed in 1997/98 and has just had a fresh light restoration! The Bee will turn heads and should win awards when you take it to shows and cruises. A restoration of this caliber takes a lot of time, patience and money to be done correctly. Please understand this is not your average “driver” condition U-code Super Bee!!! Most were 383 cars and a lot were bench seat with column shift. I typically restore or finish around 10 Mopars a year and have been working on them for more than 25 years and I do everyone as if it was my own to keep. I put a lot of time, effort, pride and money in the cars that I offer for sale, which is evident when viewing one of my cars compared to others for sale. I don’t just flip cars in a week like many, as it takes time to make them correct and often takes me months to finish a car. I do all my own work from top to bottom, without outsourcing and always paying special attention to detail (such as always including all the correct hoses, factory clamps, battery, etc that is often overlooked in many restorations). PAINT, BODY AND FRAME The rust free California body Super Bee is extremely straight and clean and in excellent shape. The trunk floor, trunk extensions, wheel well housings, doors, floor boards, quarters and fenders are all in great original condition. The frame and floorboards are also in excellent original shape. The undercarriage is very clean and neat with no rust and has some original purple paint and several factory paint markings still showing. The Bee was a non undercoat car with primered bottom, just as it left the factory! The FC7 Plum Crazy base/clear paint was done in 1997 and looks like it is fresh out of the paint booth today. Even the jams are awesome on this car including both doors, under the hood and the trunk jam. The super high-gloss deep clear coat shine was just professionally wet sanded with 1500 and 2000 grit paper to achieve a high caliber ultra finish. This long process alone took over 60 hours and the finish shows it! I do all the wet sanding by hand and under the best florescent lighting. I am very critical on paint and the finish on the Bee is incredible! The door jams are super nice and clean and you can see the factory seems all the way around the edges. The doors open/close better than any B-body that I have owned. The original door strikers and latches were also cleaned and look excellent! GLASS, CHROME AND TRIM The front windshield is newer and the rear glass is in very nice original condition. The rear glass has one mark on the top corner about 1” long. The side glass is in very good shape and only has a few minor small scratches. All the glass is factory tint. The front and rear bumpers are newer and in excellent condition. The outside door handles and antenna appear to be original and in great shape. The trim pieces are super clean and were polished for optimum shine. The front grill has been restored and is in excellent shape. The taillights and bezels are very nice original’s (also restored) and look beautiful. INTERIOR The black interior is mostly original and unbelievable condition. I believe only the headliner, carpet and front Legendary Auto seat covers have been changed. This is one of the nicest interiors that I have seen and still has most of its original components. Even the inside firewall under the dash is in beautiful original condition (excellent wiring, heater box etc…). The Rallye dash cluster is also in perfect original condition. The dash pad is also near perfect shape and only has one very small split about an inch long at the center speaker. All factory gauges work and operate correctly. All lighting works as should including the high/low beams, dome light, reverse lights, tail lights, parking lights, turn signals, four-way flashers, and license plate light. The fan motor, A/C, Max A/C, defrosters, horn, factory AM/FM radio (radio turns on but barely any sound) and E-brake all work. DRIVE TRAIN The original, all numbers matching HP 1971 440-4bbl (U-code) was rebuilt to factory specs in 1998. It has the correct original 440 hp manifolds, 4bbl intake (#3512501) and cylinder heads (#3462346) on it. It has an Edelbrock 4bbl. electric chock carb, new electronic distributor kit with ECU box, and new coil. The 440 makes excellent power and runs great. This engine runs extremely smooth and very easy to drive in any given traffic condition. The motor does not smoke, tick or make any noises. The casting date on the 440 is 5-14-70 and the casting number is 2536430-7. The ID badge is G-440 HP 8 20 making it a 1971 440 HP motor. The 26” radiator is also original and is the same as the Hemi and 440-6 pack cars part # 3443959. This is the 959 radiator that is hard to find and expensive to get! The original numbers automatic 727 was also rebuilt and has the ID badge with the correct VIN sequence number on it. The numbers on the drivers side pan rail are 3515848 correct for a 1971 440 HP and the build day number is 3344 which is Sept. 23rd 1970. The HD 727 shifts excellent and is an absolute blast to drive! The Super Bee has excellent drivability and cools well even in stop and go traffic. This excellent drive train combo runs and drives awesome in all conditions whether highway or city driving. The Air condition was just serviced with a new compressor, o-rings, seals, receiver drier, Hi/Low pressure cut-off switch R12 and R-12 oil. The A/C works excellent and is extremely cold! We pulled a vacuum on it and it held a perfect 28lbs and then charged the system with correct R-12 refrigerant and blows ice cold air at 37 to 41 degrees. It is absolutely awesome to have such a rare car with all its factory options and have a numbers matching 440 with factory A/C that is working excellent! I would love to know how many of the 26 produced 440-4bbl Super Bee’s had factory air, FC7 Plum Crazy paint, console automatic and had these factory options!!! The original 8 ¾ rear-end has a 3.23 posi unit with new bearings and seals. The leaf springs are also correct having the heavy duty suspension with 6 leaves on the LH and 7 on the RH. There are also multiple original factory paint markings on the rear-end, torsion bars, P/S box, trunk wheel well (inside by rear seat) and on the back side of the side marker lights and other locations! SUSPENSION The complete front suspension has been restored with made in the USA Moog parts. The rear suspension has the original leaf springs, newer leaf spring bushings and front/rear shocks. The upper and lower ball joints, upper control arm bushings, tie rods, sway bar end links, and many other parts are all new. All the brakes, drums, brake hardware, hoses and wheel cylinders are newer.
