OF ALL THE GENERATI0N 3 CONVERTIBLE SRT-10'S BUILT 2620 WERE RED 2021 WERE BLACK 1267 WERE SILVER THIS IS ONE OF THE ONLY 88 BLUE EVER BUILTThe cars history reports come up clean and flawless up until this latest incident that occurred on 4/2015As the second owner I've always professionally serviced and maintained this car at the dealer or most qualified facility depending on what was to be done with cost never being a factor. Unfortunately I discovered that some of the most incompetent unqualified and worst mechanics can be found in those places. The 3 ring binder thats full of recieipts and invoices including paying three different facilties to install the exhaust a total of four times before it was done properly......having to replace the clutch mater cylinder 3 times on a car less than 14k miles on it due to the heat from the exhaust damaging it not to mention having to repair the rear end three separate times in a few months . I foolishly allowed it to be rebuilt ...one rebuild lasting less then 600miles before buying a factory built new one that is finally problem free.Despite problems caused by unprofessional repair facilities this car has always been a good reliable car that has always instantly started and never gotten me stuck or needed to be towed due to breakdown. Car was in a recent low speed collision floor mat pushed against the accelerator and the car went from dead stop and took off and traveled less then 100 feet where it ran into another car where it impacted drivers front wheel to drivers front wheel.I’m not a mechanic but just looking at the obvious damage cosmetically the fender headlight and front bumper cover need to be replaced. Mechanically the knuckle where the tie rod attaches broke. There doesn’t seem to be any structural damage all the body panel seems still line up perfectly. looks to me if the knuckle is replaced the car would be mechanically 100% and drivable. The front rim has a dent but still holds air. Although its a $1500 rim in the past I’ve been able to swap a damaged rim for a brand new one for $250 charge. There are a couple of prior exterior issues I’d like to point out.The left rocker panel has some heat damage caused by a incompetent dodge dealer mechanic. When I first bought the car an it had 9k miles on it and it had Belanger Headers installed I brought it to the local dealer Port Jeff Chyrsler/Jeep to repair exhaust leaks and a week and $1000 later the just repaired exhaust system came apart and the muffler fell off under the rocker panels.(BOTH SIDES!!) After waiting days for them to reinstall the exhaust because they were busy and unbelievably they were putting new service customers ahead of me I picked up the car . This time not only did it take 2 days for the exhaust to fall off and again both sides but the clutch failed the same day on a car with again less then 10k .After having the car towed back to the dealer they explained that the seals in the clutch slave master cylinder failed and charged me $1100 to fix it. As for the exhaust I was told there was some kind of problem and it was in some way defective and they refused reinstalling it and referred me to an exhaust specialist. I picked up the car and the next day the heat from the open exhaust caused the rocker and plastic inner fender well too burn for a few seconds resulting in the damage. If that wasn’t bad enough after the referred to “specialist” installed the exhaust it again quickly fell off. When I finally found a competent mechanic who properly installed the exhaust he explained that problem was they kept using gaskets between the header flange and muffler. The $5000 headers are designed to be connected metal to metal and the gaskets kept burning away leaving a loose space where the bolts just vibrated off. He also told me the clutch seals were damaged by the extreme heat from the open pipes. Not only won’t the dealership pay for repairs and charged me for damage caused by them they won’t even discuss it and ins. of course denied the claim The trunk and rear bumper were damaged when I was bumped a a red light I temporarily spray painted over the damage and for $12 both damaged areas are barely noticeable. I included pictures of damage prior and after painting over it.The right side of the car aside from a few scratches has remained damage free. The interior as shown in the pics is in good condition.Last August I installed a new rear end when the original started making noise.I did not rebuild or buy a remanufactured one. I ordered and purchased from Dodge an oem brand new complete rear end at a cost of $4000.A few weeks ago front brakes were done including new pads and rotors at a cost of almost $1200 dollars Youtube walk around video:https://youtu.be/B7LwUh_7ZKA
