I am the original owner of this 1973 Dodge Dart Sport. Purchased new from Towson Dodge in Towson MD on April 12, 1973 (have original invoice, title & owners manual). This was my daily driver until 1984 at which time she was semi retired. She was under a carport from 1977 until 1986 and then parked in my garage in 1986 until present. From 1986 until present (29 years) I occasionally drive the car to keep her mechanically functioning and road worthy. Car received Ziebart (rust proofing) when new. During the late 80's there was some rust removed from rear quarter panels and rockers -- panels were patched and primed as shown in pictures. All paint is original as is most everything else on the car. Interior is exceptionally clean and excellent -- bucket seat upholstery was replaced with NOS material from Legendary Auto Interiors. Recently purchased new parchment body strip kit which is included. Vinyl top was replaced in 1981 and still looks very nice. The underside of the car has a couple small places where floor panel is rusted through. Side body panels show the usual parking lot small dings and dents from careless people during her early years. Bumpers are straight (no dents or distortions) chrome looks nice from 5 feet away. Most of the glass is original and looks nice -- driver's side door glass was replaced many years ago. Never any collision damage or "fender benders". Non smoking owner - no odor issues. Engine has never been apart. She runs good but smokes a little when you rev engine. Transmission was rebuilt in 1980 at 78,000 miles -- still shifts nicely. Transmission oil and filter changed in the mid 90's. Some suspension work was performed many years ago, ball joints, rear leaf springs, shackles, shocks, etc. as well as replacement of gas tank and sending unit. Radiator was rebuilt once in the 80's. Brakes and exhaust systems have also been replaced several times over the years -- most recent repairs were during the mid 1990's. The car has always been maintained mechanically and cosmetically -- driven approximately 200 miles a year since the late 80's. I have tried my best to accurately and carefully describe the car for this listing. I strongly recommend you inspect the car in person.
